As part of our effort to provide more versatility and flexibility to the Vortex family, we have added three new lenses to our lighting modifier family, in addition to providing a 1-to-1 replacement for the previous model of flat diffuser (the old MED Diffuser is now called XWIDE Lens).
Normal Orientation - Logo Facing Outwards
The lenses' normal orientation is with the logo facing outwards (e.g., the shiny side of the material facing away from the LEDs).
What happens if you reverse the lenses?
On the Vortex Hards, lens orientation doesn't make much difference - the beam angle is slightly reduced if running reversed (logo facing inwards).
On the Vortex Softs, however, reversing the lens actually makes it work like an intensifier, and decreases the beam angle!
