On-Stage MSA5000 Laptop Mount

This is a really nice very sturdy and stiffer! platform for putting a laptop or a mixer on top of a sturdy mic stand. Is well made of steel not too heavy but not at all flimsy and has adjustable pieces for the edge closest to the operator and adjustable brackets that slide and tighten down for the sides of something on top. It has fixed brackets on the back edge. It’s a little too big though - for holding my 13” MacBook Pro (new in 2020) or my mackie ProFX6v3 (also new in 2020) mixer. So I can’t use it for the two things I thought I wanted. But I want to buy a audio interface with more channels so I will keep it in anticipation of that new purchase. It’s hard to tell how adjustable it would be and how sturdy it is from the online photos. I am using it on top of a Manhassett folding mic stand and that is a good heavy duty stand. This platform is stiff and will hold up, but for my first two applications it wasn’t the right thing. But I want to keep it because it’s sturdy and well made but just not quite adjustable enough for the smallest tech pieces to go on it and be locked in tight. But it’s really well made and nice and looks good to me.

It is very sturdy, the price is great, but it has a very screw thread. I needed this for this express shoot with clients in new york and I couldn't use it because we needed an adapter to fit to a regular tripod thread. Other than that, is great.
