Easy to use.  Not super heavy, but holds well.

I wanted a stand that I could use an xy stereo bar and get it up high enough to cover a choir or large group for recording.  Even though I havn't actually used it yet, I set it up and it really feels and looks like a very robust stand.  It's very solid, I like the extra weight on the end of the boom.  I also love the teeth or whatever they're called to keep the boom from slipping down.  The base legs are especially sturdy and look to be wide enough a spread to keep things steady. Marc
