Otis Technology Elite Gun Cleaning and Maintenance System

I have worked in law enforcement for over a decade and have relied on OTIS products throughout my career. This particular kit is among the best they've produced, as it contains nearly everything one could need to properly maintain firearms. While some may prefer a minimalist approach, I appreciate having a comprehensive, well-organized kit that keeps all the tools readily accessible. My primary concern, however, is not with the equipment itself but with the included cleaning supplies. On two separate occasions, I purchased this kit and found that the sealed cleaning solutions had leaked, causing discoloration to the bag and leaving the contents coated in an oily residue. Interestingly, the bottles appeared intact with no visible damage or broken seals, making the source of the leak unclear. The kits were both stored at room temperature and never exposed to excessive heat, so environmental factors are unlikely to be the cause. While the functionality of the kit remains excellent, the recurring leakage issue is frustrating and diminishes the overall experience. I am unsure if others have encountered the same problem, but I have noticed similar issues with other OTIS products as well.

This thing is awesome. I have been using an original Kit-n-kaboodle for 25 plus years along with some other branded stuff. I bought this knowing i will never need to buy anything else for the rest of my shooting days and threw the other stuff in the trash.

I think this is a really well put together kit. While it is, no doubt, a bit on the pricey side, I think that it is a great value for what you get. Simply having almost everything you need in one well organized bag saves time in that you don't have to dig through your gear closet looking for that particular caliber brush. So far I have cleaned my AR and my Glock with it. I do think a slightly larger container of CLP would've been nice. Also, a T-handle and slightly longer rigid rod would be ideal for reaching through the receiver to clean the breech area on my AR. Not a deal breaker as I WAS able to make do with the parts supplied.

If you love clean guns, and you need a gun cleaning kit that covers most popular calibers, then look no further! This kit is awesome! Has all the calibers for bore cleaning, has a soft shell case, cleaning pads, solutions, its a one stop shop. I used to have a tool box and everything was all over the place, i was confused on what bore cleaner size to use, this has all the proper containers for each bore cleaner!! Highly recommended!

About this, I have basically as a tagalong in my vehicles for the range or private property shooting. I have other units that go with each rifle for the most part one hunting. I am just about everything. I need at my reloading bench at home. But this is ideal for just grabbing it, and taking it with wherever you go, no matter what you take as a firearm. Pretty much covers the whole lot. Very happy with it.

I love this kit mostly I used to use a cheap one from Walmart and then when I got this from my school I don't ever plan on going back I love how it has everything I need for any type of firearm I am needing to clean highly recommend for anyone from just one firearm to many

I have had this kit for over 5 years and have cleaned everything from a 22 pistol to a 30-06 hunting rifle and it has never let me down. This is the best cleaning kit I have used in the 50 years I have been cleaning weapons. I find it exceptional for cleaning AR's and every pistol/revolver I and my kids own! They are wondering who I'm leaving it to lol.

It comes with so much more than just a bunch of cleaning g supplies. It has everything you need to clean and lube the firearm as well as to maintain you glass. We have a summer camp and have between 350 to 450 kids every summer that attend our range days. These kids go through over 65,000 rounds of ammo in everything from .22 long rifle to 338 Win Mag and shotguns and hand guns. This kit takes care of every single caliber of hand gun to shot gun on the market. This kit makes short work of maintaining these firearms and to purchase all the items individually that come in this kit would cost twice the price of the kit. So I'd say this kit is a real winner. Not to mention that everything in this kit is top quality. It just doesn't get any better than that. Great product at an even better price.

I use the Otis FG-1000 Elite Cleaning System, which comes in a zippered case. This made-in-the-USA system has everything a shooter needs to clean firearms from a .22 to 12-gauge shotgun. A round Velcro-attached mini-case (left side) can be popped out and put in your pocket. My only complaint is that it doesn?t come in a tackle box because I think it would take less time to put everything away when I am done.

All the gun stores that I deal with all say the same thing if you're going to buy it buy it once and buy the best so that's why I went to Otis and got the . Otis Elite Cleaning Kit , Money well spent .

This kit has just about everything one would ever need. The included tactical kit is almost everything needed, but with the additional brushes and eyelets, this is pretty comprehensive. Now for those who don't know what the big deal is about Otis and why it is worth the money: take a gun and use it extensively and go home and clean it with your regular cleaning kit. Pulling carbon out on the patches? No, good! Now, pull out an Otis kit and run it through with just a touch of oil or bore cleaner. Make sure and fold it right. I did that, and was amazed by the amount that came out on the first patch. The Elite kit has everything most people will need. It cleans everything in my safe. It is easy to use, has oil, patches, brushes, cables, and all the good stuff. Throw in the Otis customer service, how well it works and the warranty, and you will see the Otis difference! The Elite is not cheap, but for me and my guns, it is a real good value!

I haven’t used the item BUT the person who received the gift was so excited!! He does not get overtly excited about anything but this gift, he LOVED!
