Questions & Answers

Shopper : How do you fasten it to the camera? Undo the straps?CHARLES J : The strap is nice, it is all one piece where you undo the belt thread the strap thru your camera back thru the belt and adjust your strap.HEATHER F : i'm not exactly sure how to describe attaching the strap to the camera. fortunately my camera i bought the strap for already had a strap and i used it as an example. i'll try to explain...my camera is a 1970s Minolta SLR. it has triangles where the straps are attached. the strap runs through the buckle, loops and runs back through the opposite direction. you have to unloop the strap by backing the short end out of the buckle. you can create a bow in the straps when you push both ends of the straps through, you are able to release the pressure and this will help you run the short strap through the buckle. after running the short strap through you can then run it through the metal triangle that is attached to the side of your camera. your camera might have something different for the strap to attach to. after you run the short strap through, you weave it back through the buckle. after you run it back through the buckle you need to pull the out the bow. this secures your strap. i have a feeling this might be more confusing. this is a technique that is easier to demonstrate. i would like to add that i am completely happy with the strap. i have nerve damage in my neck and the former strap was irritating and uncomfortable.MAHLON W : I bought this strap because it has a "forest floor" brownish pattern that matches my camera case. I avoid black because of how hot it gets in our sun. The strap is attached to the camera's loops by threading it through the slip clamps provided with the strap. If you want to take it off you indeed have to undo the straps; somewhat inconvenient. However, my strap has been on the camera for 2 years now.KAREN S : I removed the original neck strap and then fastened this one in its place. It attaches the same way as a regular camera strap.GARY S : Yest, you undo the straps and put them through the eye holes in the camera, just like the original strap.DIANA R : Yes, you undo each side of the straps and hook through. It may take some minor adjustments to get it to the perfect length but after figured out you can leave it that way for all day use.T.J. C : The strap attaches to the camera through a strap adjuster and cannot be quickly detached. It is still very functional and only takes about 30 seconds to reconnect.KEVIN S : Yes, you just undo the straps feed them through the trianglar rings on your camera then cinch them up again
Shopper : will this fit the small fitting on point and shoot cameras?JOHN H : I bought this for a Canon SX-10. It has the strap mounts on the side which are perfect for this strap. If it doesn't have the wide slots on the side it probably won't fit this strap.GREGG W : I bought this to replace the stock Nikon strap - nothing screams steal me like a big logo. Once I got it I liked it even more for the padding and just a little bit of give when stretched. The only draw back I see is it tends to roll up and kind of kink so ever now and then I have to unravel it.DAVID S : The strap is more than a 1/4 inch at it's attachment points. So if you are looking at a 'string' lanyard attachment, then: No.STEVE J U : I think it is a bit too wide for most point and shoots. It may fit those with exceptionally large "eyelets" for example the Canon G series or Nikon P series but not the traditional point and shoot. It does not correctly fit my Olympus Pen e-pm1.CALVIN W : If you have a small camera with a single hole for a strap, you should be able to put two of the QD loops in the hole, and then you can use the E-Z comfort strap, the wrist strap, or the finger strap. Cal.CALVIN W : I am not using this strap on a point and shoot, but on a Panasonic GF1 micro four thirds camera - about the same size as some larger P&S cameras. I think it would probably work with many P&S cameras as-is, but suggest you do what I do - buy also one or more sets of: Op/Tech System Connectors - Mini QD Loops (Set of 4). The strap can then be used on any small camera, will be quick-detachable, and can be shared between two or more cameras! As well, you can also buy an Op-Tech wrist strap and/or finger strap, and they can be quick-swapped for lots of options. Regards, Cal WilliamsALAN M : If you only have a single, small round hole, It will not work.ALAN M : It fits standard strap loops. The band to secure it is 3/8" wide so as long as you have two loops (one on either side) on the camera to attach it to, it will work.ODEN J : No
Shopper : Why Did You Choose This?LAWRENCE W : Simple, utilitarian strap to replace the OEM strap with attention-getting logo and camera model embroidered on it.LUBOW J : need a padded strap for camerasROBERT N : I need a strap for an older Minolta.JESSE A : Simple, cheap, good reviews.WILLIAM O : good reviews and it looks like it'll fit my small camera.CJ M : costJ. PATRICK D : Because I have a pro model for my heavier Nikon camera. It is the best camera strap ever.JUAN G : comfortDANIEL T : Fantastic strap. Lightweight, comfortable, strongSteven N : Low priceMARILYN K T : Have used these Op/Tech straps for years. They're the best! I also have the Pro model with quick connections on another camera and they are great too. They last for years!Randall R : Have another Op/Tech that works very well. For second camera bodyKEITH M : comfortable, very nice for lighter camerasCHARLES J : I chose this strap because I did not want to be a hug bilboard with some name draping over my shoulders like a sign spinner. It's nice comfortable and sturdy.HEATHER F : i felt that wide neoprene would be more comfortable on my neck. i have a pinched nerve and the original strap that my camera came with irritated my neck.MAHLON W : Needed a strap. Replaced it with the nature color strap which matches my case.GARY S : I chose this strap because a friend uses it on her Nikon DSLR, and she said it is very comfortable. I must agree with her. It's much more comfortable than the original, thin strap.CALVIN W : Excellent strap for anything from a Micro Four Thirds system camera to a small DSLR.

Keep-it-simple neck strap.

Perfect for a small, lightweight camera. Although, perhaps, not right for the smallest, cheapest of point-&-shoots. Stick with a simple wrist strap for these.

Good deal

Excellent strap for the price, though the edges of the strap can be a bit rough on bare skin.

Light weight, soft cushion, strong hold

I used this item for FF mirrorless so it's almost like a smaller DSLR but not with huge lens. It matches the size, the weight as well as it is not bulky inside the bag. Some consideration might be needed for pro DSLR with heavy tele-zoom lenses that this might not give enough cushion (a bargain for its size).

Comfortable

This is so much more comfortable on the neck than the strap that came with my Olympus EM1. It was easy to attach and seems solid. Plus, it does not advertise what name your camera is.

Good strap for camera

I use this strap instead original with my Sony Alpha A5100 camera, and this strap is much better than original. I do not feel a weigth of camera on my neck. It is unexpensive and good.

Simple and comfortable

I love the neoprene and it holds my heavy equipment pretty comfortably. My only complaint is the edge of the strap could be softer

Very comfortable

Nice light weight strap for the lighter lens cases and digital cameras such as the Nikon D5100 etc. I wouldn't recommend this for heavier cameras or lenses like super zooms or Nikons D2-4, F3-6. Over all it works great within it's range.

Good, low-key strap.

I bought this strap to replace the flashy Canon-logo strap that came with my 5D2. I was afraid the inexpensive Op/Tech strap wouldn't be comfortable, but it turns out to be very comfortable with camera + 24-105 lens. The only drawback is the flimsy plastic strap keepers that slide off the ends of the straps, but that's a minor problem.

not too shabby

I usually just use a hand strap but decided to put a neck strap back on my d80. This is way more comfortable for carrying a heavy camera than a stock strap. Nikon d80+sigma 28-300mm lens+4 hours later=no neck fatigue or pain. Not a bad equation at all.

More comfortable than the Canon strap

This is a great strap for the price. I had the use the standard Canon strap on two vacations and, because of the discomfort, almost swore that I would not bring the SLR on the next trip. This strap will resolve that problem.

Simply Comfortable

I bought this strap to replace an old neoprene strap that has quick-disconnects. This one is much less bulky and fits better in my small day bag as well as my backpack. I use it on a Nikon D40X and it provides plenty of support. The neoprene acts as a shock absorber when carrying the camera over your shoulder, and is less slippery than standard nylon straps.
