At the price of this kit, it is simply NOT at all well thought out as far as the accessories to include. The inclusion of patch tips that are NOT .223. 5.56. 9mm or .357 seems to be a waste. Very few people out there use a 5.57 caliber. Also, NOT to include a T-Handle for the aircraft cable is not thought through at all. When cleaning and pulling a patch through, the cable ends are slicker than a cat's A*$. It is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to grip the cable tightly enough to pull it through the barrel when a patch is on the other end. In fact, my cable got lodged half-way down the barrel with a patch inside. It was a PAIN to back it out back to the battery. I had to then use the T-Handle that came with my older 9mm tactical cleaning kit. C'mon Otis, I expect more from your products, that a $95 cleaning kit should include a 10 cent (at bulk purchase you make) piece of plastic T-Handle!

Otis has a winner with the defender series. This is the easiest and best cleaning kit I have ever purchased. I take it with me, use it at home or whatever you want to do. It works great

I have an otis kit for every single one of my firearms now. This kit was the only variation i did not have and now my set is complete. Realistically, no one takes all 20 of their toys to the range, so usually its 2-4 MAX. What i do is take this Defender Series kit, and put all the brushes that i will be needing during that trip. Everything else works across. I actually am thinking of getting an entire new set just for the house and using my current set for the range. Everything you need at its finest quality is in this kit and the others as well. Buy it once, buy the right one, and go with OTIS. I have recommended all of my friends and relatives to add OTIS to their collection.

I'm a firearms instructor. I used Otis products when I was in the Army. I bought two kits: One for me and one for a regular client new to AR15's. He asked me to help him break down his brand new rifle and clean it prior to firing it. This kit was perfectly equipped to clean all the oil from the manufacturer and re lubricate, it's well organized, intuitive and clearly marked enough for a novice to use. I cleaned up my AR15 afterwards. It removes carbon fouling like it should. Everything in the kit appears to be good quality in addition to the other compliments I already mentioned. My client and I are both satisfied with this kit. I bought him the BONE tool to go with it.

I recently bought the 7.62x51/308 Defender cleaning kit for my Springfield M1a. It is the best all in one kit that I have found. The kit has an amazing assortment of cleaning tools and makes it really easy to keep my rifle clean and lubricated. The portable case it all comes in is easy to store and pack wherever I go.

I have a MK116 Primary Weapon System AR-15 and carry a Glock 19/17. I operate these systems together the Cleaning Kit provides in a small area all the things needed to keep my rifle and pistol in top shape. There are numerous kits out there but Otis Technology is the best around.

After purchasing this kit, I found out that I had just bought the best kit that I have seen in a long time. It is small, does not take up too much room and had nearly everything possible that is needed to completely clean your weapon. Personally I added a B.O.N.E. Tool and a small bore light to round it out. It comes full but has a little room for added personal preferred extra cleaning items. You can trust Otis.

This is a very nice product that seems to only lack in one place, when you go to use the Ripcord as directed in the instructions, THERE IS NO "T HANDLE" INCLUDED. Why does this need to be purchased separately? However this is a very good high quality product and I would recommend, just go out and buy yourself a handle before going to the field or camp.
