Is this applicable to my camera canon powershot sx20is?

I was using my Canon 5D Mark III with a 24 to 70 zoom lens

This rainsleeve is more than big enough to cover a power zoom camera. I use the rainsleeve only to protect my slr lenses and camera bodies when shooting outdoors for professional work.

The Op/Tech Rainsleeve will probably be a little big for the SX20IS. You should have no problems fitting it over your camera, but will have to deal with the excess rainsleeve. A rubber band or velcro tie should solve that issue (or you can simply trim the rainsleeve to your liking). You may also want to consider a third party lens hood or lens adapter in order for the rainsleeve's drawstring to give a snug, secure, fit. These rainsleeves are excellent budget alternatives to pricier, albeit more durable, options. I've used them to cover field sports with no problems other than the slight inconvenience of having a bag over the camera.Hope this helps!

I GOT IT FOR MY PENTAX K20D, IF YOUR CANNON BODY IS CLOSE IN SIZE, IT SHOULD WORK. I PICKED THIS UP FOR EMERG. CASE IF OUT IN THE RAIN. FOR THE PRICE IT IS GOOD TO HAVE WHEN NEEDED!

I would presume so - I'm a Nikon shooter. The rainsleeves should work on all DSLRs.

I use it on my 400 2.8 all the time and leave the one I paid 200.00 for in the trunk because its too much trouble to manage, These are cheap and when they tear I just use another one. It helps to have the eyepiece adapter from Lightware. $30.00

I use the Rainsleeve for an SLR with a 300mm lens. I would expect it would work fine with the Powershot with lots of room to spare. Check out the photo in the product listing.

This rain sleeve is way too big for that small camera.

I don't see why not. The sleeve is made so it will fit various size DSLRs and lens. I've used it with my Canon 50D with battery pack and L-frame attached with lens ranging from 100-400mm to a short 50mm. The sx20is has the same DSLR shape and lens look so I'd think it would work fine.
