Highly recommend this strap as an upgrade. Just spent two weeks in Germany, and one in France, using an Eagle Creek shoulder bag for my SLR (less obvious than a camera bag). In addition to camera and kit lens, I also toted a 100-300 zoom, sunglasses, maps, and would occasionally stuff a vest or jacket in the bag as the day warmed up. This was vastly superior to the original strap. More than worth the cost. Balances the load, the stretch makes it much more comfortable, and it does not slip, even on a nylon vest. Get it.

S.O.S. Strap "Saves On Shoulders" with its unique internal control-stretch system and tailored design that effectively distributes weight and absorbs shock of movement. It's the perfect strap for heavy bags and cases. The metal swivel snap hooks secure the strap to most bags and cases; however, they can be easily removed if the 1.5-inch (38.1mm) webbing is the preferred connection option.
