Very satisfied with this projector for the money. Purchased a refurb and it's been very nice. Nice 3D and a nice bright picture. Love that I can stream my 4K movies and enjoy Dolby Atmos even though it's not true 4K picture. I realize a UHD projector would've cost a heckuva lot more.

I bought it about 2 years ago and the lamp failure showing up for the past four months. Not much help from Customer Support though they had recently mentioned that it is out of warranty. Hardly used the lamp - about 400 hours out of 15000 lamp life. Pity that the lamp warranty is just 90 days.

I bought this off Amazon back In February of 2019. I started to experience issues with it in November of 2019 when I purchased an Xbox 1 S. Every time I try to turn on UHD Tv in the Xbox setting, the screen goes blank. Audio with come through but no picture. It also takes forever and sometimes freezes when trying to find an hdmi source. It has a great picture but this is a faulty product. Reached out to customer service and haven’t heard anything back in a week. Would never purchase an Optoma again.

This is my first projector and I was very happy with it until the lamp died just like it did for a lot of other customers. There is a pattern here and it would be great if Optoma decided to address this problem. I have only 429h on the lamp and have never had the projector on for more than 4 consecutive hours which is half from the official recommended usage. With this projector you will get 90 day lamp warranty and replacement bulbs for it are in the $100US or $130CAD range which is not cheap considering that you might have to buy a new one every year... Not worth the trouble!

Like the other reviews - after 130 hours ... issues:lamp led on and power led blinking. Unit turns off. Do not recommend (unless there s a fix with these failures.

First, let me give you some context. I've had two Optoma projectors before connected to my home theater system. My home theater is connected to its own electrical circuit, very stable and extremely well grounded. I turn off its energy supply whenever I'm not using it. I use my projector for two hours a day, average, to watch movies at night, usually on ECO or ECO+ mode. So, we're talking about optimal usage conditions here. My HD27HDR has had TWO lamp failures in less than a year. Two lamp failures, under excellent usage conditions. So no, I do not recommend this projector to anyone. It's just not reliable. I used to trust Optoma, based on my solid previous experiences, but not anymore. Buy it at your own risk. Regards, Rafael.

I bought this in January from Amazon and it gets used a couple hours a week. I really liked it a lot and was very happy with the quality but It appears I have the same issue as others on here. The projector turns on for a couple minutes and then it goes off. The power button will begin to flash and the lamp indicator stays red. Before resetting to try and fix the lamp counter showed 202 hours which is nowhere close to the 15,000 hours it says it could last

i bought it on Amazon on November 2018 and lamp had to be replace on march 2019, and now again on August 2019. I only use it once or twice a week to watch movies, between 2 to 4 hours of use. Maybe projector itself its defective.

I bought this projector in amazon and with less than 50 hours of use the projector does not project image, the projector tries to turn on and fails to turn on, the power light flashes red and the lamp problem light stays on, which is surprising since a projector with less than 50 hours of use can not have an error with the lamp, in amazon I see many complaints from other buyers with the same problem, I work in Audiovisual in a hotel and I have knowledge about projectors and when a projector may have manufacturing problems. as it is in this case, I already open a case through the Optoma web page, I hope optoma is responsible and Help me with the problem as soon as possible. There is literally none better, this projector allows 16 Ms lag input which is better than most TV's, it is absolutely the best experience gaming and I highly recommend, I wish optoma will come our with a 4k one with the same minimal lag (16mswow

I this is directly over your head warning it has a 4.3 khz constant tone that was bad enough I returned it. sad because the image was breath taking. I actually returned it for another one because I anyone would sell a projector with this problem. I have had the optima hd 27 above my head for about 5 years and not been to bothered by the sound of it so its not just me
