Optoma abandoned us

This has needed firmware bugs fixed for well over 10 months, optoma is well aware of them, yet no fix.

A project that doesn't have lens cap or manual

I purchased this project through amazon. It came in without any manual inside. The worst part is that there is no cap for the lens. I don't know whether it is by design. The high brightness is one main reason for me to choose this mode because it is for my daughter to have her virtual class during the day. Somehow there is no option to change the brightness from either the project or remote control. This mode is supposed to be 4K ready. I tried 4K demo video from my new apple pro. The resolution and contract are not close to the video source. From the menu, there is only 1080 available. Not sure how to achieve 4K or near 4K quality.

Bring the cinematic experience home with the incredible 4,000 lumens, 1080p Optoma HZ39HDR laser home theater projector. A DuraCore Laser light source eliminates lamp and filter replacements for up to 30,000 hours of maintenance-free operation with stunning color and image quality throughout the life of the projector.

The compact size and low weight make mounting a breeze while its quiet operation ensures the HZ39HDR is seen, not heard. Vertical keystone correction and a 1.3x optical zoom provide flexible installation options.

Blu-ray 3D support brings the immersive 3D movie experience home when paired with optional DLP-Link 3D glasses. Robust inputs include HDMI 2.0 and VGA for connectivity to a wide range of devices.

DLP Technology
DLP (Digital Light Processing) is a proprietary technology from Texas Instruments that offers digital projection with higher contrast, faster response time, good pixel structure and virtually no color degradation.

Signal Power On
The projector powers on when it receives a signal through the HDMI input. This ensures the projector is turned on at the same time as the source device.

Amazing Color
Our projectors are capable of reproducing the Rec.709 color gamut, the international HDTV standard to guarantee accurate reproduction of cinematic color exactly as the director intended.

HDR
High dynamic range (HDR) technology delivers brighter whites and deeper black levels. Optoma HDR accepts HDR10 signals with four selectable picture modes: Normal, Bright, Detail, and Film.
