This short throw projector is decent. It has auto focus(this can be switched off in favor of manual focusing which is what I prefer. It consumes only about 28 (as measured during use) Watts of power. Fan noise is lower than some laptops. Brightness is decent as well as contrast if you're using it in a dark room or there's almost no ambient light. First of all let me say I do NOT use this for business presentations but as a bedroom movie projector. Either way in my opinion this does not handle ambient light well so business presentations in bright rooms is not where this will work well. In my darkened bedroom environment however this does a really amazing job of projecting a 100" inch diagonal image with excellent color accuracy and decent brightness and contrast. My BIGGEST gripe about this projector is that it suffers from the low 720P native resolution (and screen door effect) now that our eyes have become accustomed to 1080P being the lowest HD image content quality considered as standard. If optoma can squeeze a native 1080P DLP chip into this form factor and tweak the light engine to output about 200 more lumens of color brightness (again NOT ANSI lumens)... This would be one of the most compelling short throw projectors in a class of its own that's really difficult if not impossible to compete with at almost any price. If you plan to replace a tv with a projector like I did here's what I learned that lead me to purchase this projector to replace my previous one. Significantly brighter projectors consume significantly more power which ramps up your electricity bill... SIGNIFICANTLY!!! (top reason I upgraded to this one). Also brighter projectors produce VASTLY more heat requiring more cooling which means MUCH more fan noise in most cases. Brighter projectors also typically will have significantly shorter lamp life spans and unlike this projector aren't suitable for long run times the way a television is used. The icing on the cake is the small footprint of this projector allowing you to fit it almost anywhere and the shortened throw ratio allowing you to locate it closer to the screen which actually means you get a brighter image on screen despite the lower lumens (ANSI lumens this time). This is basically why this projector is simply a VERY compelling option and really nothing to scoff at ESPECIALLY if a 1080P variant becomes available.
