Thus far, it appears to fine.DONALD M : I recently purchased this projector and thus far am very pleased with the performance, but to answer your specific question which is a good one I would think the best source to ask would be optoma. They have a website and you can call them however I think your math is wrong. I understand the lamp is good up to 4,000 hours. You stated that you might be able to only watch 20 movies. If a movie is 2 hours long, 20X2 is 40 not 4000. It seems to me there is alot of life left in the lamp at this point.ALEXA S : Sorry...I realize my mistake in the lamp life, but more importantly, was the lamp replaced in the refurbishment? Can I actually expect 3000-4000 hours?

Refurbished Deal

I got this projector to do photography workshops with. So far I've used it with a PC and watched a movie hooked up to the DVD player. It searched for and found the media attached to it automatically. I found the controls simple to figure out. I haven't gotten the cables to hook it up to the Mac yet. It came with a service slip for a repair to fix the problem of it shutting down after a half hour. It made it through a movie, so it appers that the problem is solved.
