This an excellent product. It is small, lightweight and one piece. The cone-shaped light collector gathers plenty of light from any source and directs it into the bore or action of your firearm. Brightness can be controlled by the light source and the angle of daylight or interior lighting entering the device. No batteries or bulbs to worry about. Great device that works exactly as you want it to.

Exactly the right price for this.

Put the small end in the bore, the large end opposite a light source, and you get a soft but bright light to examine the bore of your pistol. Other site will sell this at several times the price, which is a rip-off. Amazing the number of shooting related items that Adorama carries. Kudos.

This Lucite bore checker works for most calibers. Great for looking for spots or residue in a gun barrel.

Use Outers Bore Checker to illuminate the bore of your firearm and verify cleanliness. Place small end of bore checker in chamber of firearm using a light source above it. Look through barrel from muzzle end to determine condition of barrel. Then clean and oil firearm as needed.
