This is my first RAID drive. Everything seems to work great, the software it comes with is great, given this is my first RAID. Now maybe I am just sensitive to noise, but with this drive sitting right under my desk next to me, I only run it when I have to. This thing puts out some noise, regardless of what the write up says about it, I think its noisy. I tried putting it in a large cabinet, but after an hour or so of running I think it was getting to warm and took it out. I would think there are probably some actual covers out there that would ventilate enough to safely keep this thing quieter? I am sure if I took the time to get it setup far away from my chair it would be better, but given the room I have, that would be a very large task to do. Depending on your setup and where you can put it, this may completely not be an issue for you? Well just my two cents worth on my very first RAID. Cheers
Chad D.
