KC B : Is the cross bar collapsable?DAVID S : Besides being fully adjustable between 4.5' and 10.3' I really appreciate the quality of this background stand. I first bought the version with the non-collapsible cross pole. I was so impressed with the quality that I purchased the second one with the telescoping cross pole. I will buy another one if I need another. The tripod stands are so sturdy I use them to hold long boom arms with soft boxes and strobes on one end and a 15 lb. counterweight on the other end. I highly recommend this background support system!MELISSA L : The telescopic crossbar's width is adjustable by twisting it to loosen the grips.Then you would twist the grips in the opposite direction to tighten and "lock" it into the desired size. So essentially it is expandable from about 4ft wide to about 10 ft wide.RENEE T : Yes it is. It all fits in a handy carrying bag that comes with it. I love it!
