I've been using this Interfit Photographic EZ kit for over a year now. And I'm more than pleased to tell you that it can get the job done!!! I use it mostly for my freelance photographic work. Wedding anniversaries, business headshots and to shoot some small to medium products for point-of-sale advertising. Personally, I use the EZ Kit to photograph some of my paintings and other art. This kit puts out a very generous amount of powerful but kind light that flatters the subject as long as you use the lights in proper, traditional studio placements. If you are doing video work, recording a person from the waist up or shoulders up, you will have no problem at all. No need to spend the extra money. Of course, if you ever need more power, you can always order another Interfit EZ set!! :) The included DVD has product instructions and photographic tips and guidelines that are great for beginners and serves as good reminders to more seasoned users. Just make sure to allow proper time for the lights to cool after use. The results are fantastic!!! Especially if you pick-up some mobile backdrops to complement the lights. I've never tried them outside, but you need extra gear for that. Bottom line…if you're looking to start a home studio for fun or profit, these are the best lights to start with.

The faster setup is great but the diffuser looks like it will start to split at the corners after several uses (and will require patching). I can see gaps around the stitching at the corners on the very first setup. Note that there's no half-of-the-bulbs-on mode like with Interfit's earlier model. They're either all on or all off.
