Works just as well as the ones that cost much more. Note that the ring does not rotate so if you are using a rectangular softbox be sure it is in the proper orientation when you first mount it.

Changed out the mount for a Profoto. Can't beat the price for a way to take the load off the flash unit when using LARGE 4, 8, or 16 rod modifiers. If you're good mechanically, this can be fitted to a large variety of equipment. Rod hole size is average, so very thick rods might be an issue. Adorama has a good return policy, so if you don't mess it up and it doesn't fit, shipping is your only loss. The way I see it, $50+ any adapters is much better than $

It was larger and heavier than I expected but it’s very solid and built to keep any size soft box in place. Locking handles on both sides might seem like overkill but it does’t hurt. I had to swap out the insert ring to match the mount on my strobes but once I found one with the right diameter this was easy.

It is the most secure way to attach a weighted softbox and any bowens type monolight, together.

An all-metal softbox yoke with a Bowens S-Mount that can fit any square, rectangle, strip, octagon or parabolic softbox. Highly recommended for extra large softboxes. The Softbox Yoke is a specially designed 16-rod softbox speed ring that supports the weight of heavier softboxes. Larger softboxes can be heavy and put a lot of extra strain on your flash head. By using a softbox yoke, your flash head only has to support its own weight.
The weight of the softbox is supported by the yoke itself, providing you with extra support and stability when using larger modifiers. This yoke comes standard with a Bowens S-Mount, but can easily be exchanged to fit any manufacturers light (inner speed ring adapter required).
