I got a lemon

I am giving this product 3 stars, because I already had one, and was very satisfied with it. It is very small, and that makes it easier to move around; but at the same time, the larger the light source, the softer the light. This one came INCOMPLETE: The plastic BASE that attaches to the flash was MISSING, so I have not been able to use it!

BEWARE - DOES NOT WORK WITH SB800

Although the SGM100 is listed as a recommended accessory. This unit DOES NOT WORK with the SGM100 and therefore is incompatible with Nikon strobes. The unit requires a lot of assembly instead of a popup like most others.

Nice light modifier

Nice construction and design except for when it comes to mounting. You also need to get an adapter for your flash in addition to this product. I wanted it for Vivitar 283, but they only had 285. Managed to adapt the 285 to my 283 with snap on filter holder.

With Interfit's Strobie Off-Camera Octobox (12"/30cm), you can create studio-quality lighting using your on-camera flash. This 12" (30 cm) Ocotobox is for off-camera use only, as the Ocotobox would block the lens if mounted on the camera. The Interfit Flex Mount adapter (available separately) is required to use the Octobox. This softbox is ideal for use with a flash mounted on a stand, bracket or boom arm. The soft light produced is particularly fine for portraits.
