Questions & Answers

PEDRO C : I have a Canon T4i and a METZ 50 AF-1 TTL Shoe Mount Flash for Canon. Can I use the TTL and/or Manual mode with this cable??GILBERT F : I have similar equipment as yours. It works intermittently for me. Sometimes perfectly, other times manual only. Drives me nuts. Sometimes I have better luck setting flash to Automatic than TTL. Best wishes!ANTHONY A : Yes.DAVID S : yesKARLEN M : I bought it for not to waste my canon flash siTting on camera. Not sure with non Canon flashes
Shopper : I have a sb 600 and soon a sb 900. Can I use this cable for one sb and still use the other one off flash with no cord -remote?DANIEL F : Of course!!, if they both are in manual mode, you can make the sb 900 your commander and your sb 600 your remote if you are working with CLS. Also you can make it work as manuals... both flashes, one trigger via optical slave. I have had this cable for a year and it works flawlessly. My only throw down is that it is a little bit tough to attach to the hot shoe from my camera, but no complains about it... this is a great productLOUIS S : I use canon Speedlites, I have an 580ExII connected to the camera with the Multi-Fit Cord, it works as a MASTER and send IR (infrared) signals to the other 2 speedlites that works as SLAVE, it works fantastic I hope this could answer your question.
DORRAIN W : I just bought this product through Amazon to trigger my 270EX as a master. It does fire the 270EX but I have no control over it's output. I purchased this because I am on a budget and I couldn't rely on my "cheap" triggers to fire every time. It's not the end of the world but it would be nice to control this light so that I can still make use of it. I have fooled around making sure that it is seated but it still doesn't recognize it. Any advise?TOM P : I have had to make sure my Nikon flashes are shimmed under the from of the flashy nd and that seems to keep it tight against the connections. I have not had trouble with not being able to control out put . SprryARNOLD K : I have the Interfit cord with a Canon T2i camera and 430EX flash. I am able to use it in full TTL mode or manual mode. When I'm using it, it's as if the flash is attached directly to the camera, only it can be up to 30 feet away. Are you sure you are attaching it properly? It's easy to attach one side the wrong way. Double check your connections. Alternatively, you can put your flash in manual mode and control your light output that way. I typically set my flash to manual mode so I can completely control the amount of iight coming out of it when I'm using it with the Interfit cord. GARY D : I bought this product in July and have not had any issues, I have the ez450 and 580ex from cannon, sorry about that hope that someone can help youDORRAIN W : Yeah that is the problem it tells me "the menu cannot be displayed......." because it is not talking to it. As I mentioned, it fires but there is no control. So I know that there is some communication. I have a much shorter cord and it works fine with the 270EX. I am stumped.Andrew F : With the 270ex, you have to control the output of the flash through the menu on your camera. Have you tried that yet?

Not sure what I think yet.

It does not seem to want to get/maintain good contact consistanly. It did not work at all at times. I'd remove and reseat it and it would work. It would not always work for ttl all the time either. It appears that placing it completely on the hot shoe does not align correctly or allow it to seat properly. A bit of wiggling seems to get it to work. When I have more time to work with it, I'll verify that it's a problem with the cord and not some sort of operator failure. If it is the cord as I believe, I would not recommend it.

Works Like A Charm

There's nothing bad that can be said of this product other than in some instances it can be too long and some of the cabling gets in the way - but hey, that's why you bought it in the first place. The only other option would be to spend 20x as much on a wireless TTL solution. For the price, though, I'll deal with the slight inconvenience of remotely controlling my flash while still retaining TTL capabilities. This item works great for portraits and headshots and allows you to work fast - especially outdoors.

Fabulous

[...] I have used it a few times and it is excellent for getting the flash off the camera. It just works. I was shooting with a second shooter in a studio and we were fighting over who gets to use the wire and who has to shoot wth the flash head on

Using an innovative pin configuration the Multi-fit TTL cord can be used with Nikon, Fuji and Canon cameras when used with manufacturer's flashguns. The TTL cord allows you to maintain a link to your flashgun for lighting off camera. The cord is 10m (32') Ideal for using a secondary flashgun connected to your camera as a master unit to control your Remote units at a greater distance with a screw thread built in it can be mounted on to a light stand to hold your flashgun. In addition you can fire two flashguns on the same cord in manual mode.
