I use this to develop 4x5 negatives with a 3D printed insert that I designed to fit the Patterson. I can only do 2 at a time. I also use this to develop 3 rolls of 35mm at once. Great for DIY developing.

I already owned the two 35mm/one 120 reel model and bought this so I could soup two rolls of 120 at one time. I like that it uses exactly one liter but best feature is the rate you can pour the chemistry. I challenge you to add chemistry faster than it can take it.

Love this tank, I can finally develop three rolls of 35mm (or two of 120) at a time! Definitely worth it.

Very well made tank. Perfect size. Now I can do 3 reels of 35mm, saves lots of time. The press on rubber top is better then the previous version of the top that was screw on and hard plastic. Highly recommend!

I use this for developing 4x5 sheet film, using the Mod45 insert. I adore this development system! It's extremely easy to use once you've had a chance to practice a few times. Shooting 4x5 is easy and economical with such a great developing tank system available. I love it.

So far, so good. I much prefer the Paterson--which takes self-loading reels--to the stainless steel reels and tank.

Excellent tank fir processing 2 rolls of 120 film.If you close it correctly, you have NO leaks.

Excellent Tank! The best part is that you can pour a quart kit directly in it without measuring and it will be enough to develop 3 rolls without spilling over. The worst part though is that putting on the lid takes forever, is very annoying, and prone to spilling if you mess it up.

Been using one for about ten years. Now I am busy enough to warrant two. I Shoot a lot of 120 so it’s nice to rock and roll with four rolls being developed at a time. These tanks are PERFECT !!!

What is there not to like. You cannot go wrong with a Patterson tank, however here is some advice. Make sure the reels are bone dry otherwise you may have some trouble loading the film. I have used stainless steel reels and tanks in the past but I changed over to Patterson because the reels were well designed and you can rely on them 1000%. I do not earn my living as a photographer but I exhibit my photographs and my photographs are represented in collections in Paris and London.

My old, long abused tank had started to really leak from the lid so it was time to replace it. The lid can be hard to get on tight (I assume it will loosen up with age) but that also means no significant leaks. It's a tank and it works.

Pretty cut and dry system. I was a little concerned that the holder wasn't light tight- it doesn't have a rubber seal like the smaller versions I have . Pulling the rubber top off is a bit more of a pain but otherwise it works well!

Not much to say, Paterson tanks are the standard for film developing tanks. I learned using these and I've used them in the three darkrooms that I've been in. I ordered one of the 3-reel tanks for the rare occasion that I process 3 similar rolls at the same time. Don't forget to order reels, they do not come with this tank.

This is a great tank for developing several negative sizes. I shoot Medium Format, so I can now develop two rolls of 120 film at the same time, with the same chemistry, a time and money-saver. I also like the screw-on top, which is shaped like a funnel; now I don't have to remember to have one handy in the darkroom or take one to school. It IS important to remember that the larger the tank, the longer it will take to be emptied, so that time needs to be included, especially with your developer.

The only con about this product was that I had trouble getting the lid to close around the tank. BUT, the tank comes with a way to agitate the rolls *without* needing to put a lid on, so it didn't matter so much. The tank was low enough to fit under the faucet of my bathroom sink *and* light enough that I could easily move it around. It did not leak light or liquid (although I didn't put the lid on & turn it upside down) at all.

I use this tank to process 6 4x5 sheets of B&W or Color film using the mod54 insert [@]. I love this tank. The only issue I had was that it leaked from the red ring at the top. Nothing a little gaffer tape couldn't take care of though!

The size and weight of this tank make it easy to use. I just started developing my own 120 film at home, and this tank makes it a pleasure.

It is hard to tell when the lid is properly seated. Same is true of light seal/funnel. I prefer the AP tank screw-down funnel.

I love these tanks and would recommend the 3 reel for anyone. It is not too big to handle and you can process 1 to 3 35mm rolls of film just by following the directions and using the proper amount of chemicals for each roll. If you are going to get just one tank, get this one. Be sure to order reels since this tank does not come with them and the Paterson film washer hose is a good addition.
