I would like a timer than can be operated with wet gloves.JOHN M : There is no sealing around the buttons, so liquids could eventually work their way into the timer.RALPH D : It is not water resistant so, you need to be careful with it. I have not had any problems with this timer in the darkroom....so far.

Patterson is a great company that makes great products. This isn't one of them...

For starters, definitely don't use your phone as a timer. For one, your phone will likely go to sleep while you're developing things. Also, you don't want to have to touch your phone while you're handling dangerous chemicals. Secondly, having the 3 timers is a nice feature. I used mine for pre-soak, development, and blix, and then I just estimate for the rinse and stabilizer (for C41 processing). That said though, this thing could be A LOT better, especially for the money. It's a little finicky and cheap-feeling switching between the timers. Also, everything should be buttons (and much bigger)?the switches on the sides to choose between "set" & "lock", and between the timers & the clock, was a bad design choice. When you're dealing with chemicals, you don't want to have to deal with operating a tiny little plastic gadget. I also don't trust that this thing isn't eventually going to get water damage. I haven't found a better solution yet, but there has to be something better and cheaper on Amazon....

Works great
