As its name implies, this bag was designed to allow carrying a professional video camcorder on board planes. Most pros would never put their mission-critical camera (and their livelihood) into luggage, knowing the airlines decline responsibility for its safety. Of course, the bag can also be used to carry the camera even if you never fly with it.I find this product the best transport I've ever used for this type of camera. It's compact, well padded, and well balanced. Subjectively the camera seems almost "lighter" to carry in the bag than without it. It has room to quickly "drop" the whole camera in without having to disassemble it or even slide the viewfinder or shotgun mic back and forth. It opens and closes with one movement of a large zipper, and so taking the camera out is also very quick -- important if you're shooting documentary, news or anything else that won't wait.If anything, a few more compartments would be nice. Of course that might compromise the compactness, so it's not really a fair complaint. The size of the bag may also not qualify for carry-on on all airlines and in all countries. Check the local rules first rather than being unpleasantly surprised at the airport.A great way to carry a large camera, I highly recommend it.[...]
