Good camera 1” sensor helps in low light, 4k option nice, I don’t like some of how the camera controls are setup. I’d prefer 3 buttons for gain/iris/shutter to toggle auto/manual, exposure compensation can only be changed in the menu and the menu can’t be accessed while recording. The camera blacks out if the aperture is turned past f11 (can you believe that!) Despite all my complaints the price value is hard to beat for this type of camera. While it not comparable to large sensor mirrorless/dslr/cinema cameras it’s what need for filming run and gun event stage work.

This camera is a step up to 4K from my Panasonic AG-AC90. The layout is very similar to that 2K camera. I like that I can shoot 4K in both 24 and 30fps modes, and record files in MP4. I've only done a few shoots with it, but I had no issues at all. It's beefier than the AC90, and features the same pull out monitor. One really nice feature are the 1/4" AND 3/8" threads in the handle, for mounting a larger monitor, etc.

Lightweight, sturdy, handy controls, excellent images. I repeat. Excellent. Adapts to Pro tripods, plates, viewfinders and the like, with ease. (Got a couple of good fluid heads, Lilliput viewfinder...etc.) I admire this attention and professional courtesy VERY much. Fine lens, fine zoom, excellent white balance... Heck. All of the adjustment options are stupendous, advanced and effective. Complicated? A bit. Read the manual. It is one of the best you I have seen and will download to your phone. 4K files are AVID-compatible and excellent. Your project will go from shoot to payday in a pleasant and speedy manner. Chips are reasonable and hold a surprising amount. I would give 5-stars, but longevity, reliability and repair is a significant issue for me. Will get back to you Recommend? Yes! (Great bag)

Just got it 2 weeks ago and so far very happy. Build quality is really good. Took it to a friend who does professional videos for a living and he said it was a great camera for the price range. I researched the heck out of cameras before I settled on this one, I believe this gives the most bang for the buck without going broke. I also researched the heck out of companies to buy from and Adorama had the best deal around. Would I recommend this camera & Adorama... All Ready Have! :)

I needed a smooth zoom to compliment my GH4 's as well as 4k and CineD setting. This camera doesn't disappoint and is a much more practical solution for run and gun than a rigged out GH4. The XLR inputs with phantom power complete the package. Some complain about the eyepiece viewfinder, I have no trouble using it.

I wanted a PRO looking ENG type camera. I trade in my sony fd-ax100 4k camera which also had a 1 inch sensor with great video quality, but it look like a consumer camera. Originally I chose the JVC-HM170 for the price ($) and look. let me tell you a HORRIBLE choice, poor video quality, viewfinder horrible..I can go on and on but I`m please with this panasonic UX90 it is equivalent to the sony in video quality. The UX90 has manual controls and plenty of user assignable buttons. Not a perfect Low light camera the results are acceptable, unless you shoot in total darkness. Great camera to add to your tool box of cameras if you are a (DSLR) shooter you can use this camera as a second camera for sports, seminars, etc..
