Used this to film my wife give birth to our daughter.
I bought this camera to film my daughters birth, first steps and other milestones. During the babies delivery I used this camera as well as 5 GoPro's that I had mounted in the delivery room. This freed up space so that only one camera operator (me), the perchman and his fish pole microphone could take up position without getting in the way of the medical staff. I was even able to talk her OBGYN into wearing a lanyard style GoPro for the labia crown shots and first emergence. Obviously retakes would take years so it was important to get it the first time around. This camera was excellent, easy to use and has great imaging.

Beautiful image, great weight for all-day shooting, lots of cool features. Very happy with this cam. My only issue so far is that audio records strangely.

Versatile and beautiful
For us, we wanted a workhorse camera that could also shine in narrative. Before the EVA1 was released, we had been shooting with an FS7 which was a perfect workhorse camera, but left much to be desired with respect to aesthetics. Starting with the EVA sample footage, we could tell that this would have the FS7 beat in the aesthetics department and once we got our hands on EVA and put her through the ringer, she's the clear winner. The FS7 might be a touch more usable in some regards, EVA strikes the perfect balance for us. We shoot short films, documentaries, corporate and commercial. We haven't tinkered with external recorders, but it's good to know that 5.7K Raw is possible.
Pro tip: buy ProGrade, Panasonic or AngelBird V60/V90 SDXC cards in 128 or 256GB capacities.

Beautiful image in a lightweight package!
The EVA1 finds a strong foothold in the VERY competitive sub $10K cinema camera market.
PROS:
The EVA1 image is beautiful! Coming from the FS7, I much prefer the colors and skin tones on my EVA1. Highlight roll-off is also very pleasant and smooth.
It is a very versatile camera and will continue to grow. Plenty of frame-rate options up to 240fps - 120fps is 10-bit! Big update coming next Spring will unlock 5.7K and 400mbps intra recording.
The body is very light and compact, but still feels great to hold. I prefer the EVA1 ergonimics over the C200. Everything is very easy to get to and thought out. Great for gimbal work!
Battery life is great! Shot all day on 2 large batts and the 1 small Panasonic.
Panasonic's customer service is incredible. An issue was found with the hand grip upon release and they set up a program and corrected the issue in a week. That's unheard of really.
CONS:
Menu could use a little tweaking. Takes a while to get to certain options such as high frame-rate. Takes several steps and more time than it needs to.
4K 60fps is awesome... but 8-bit. Not a killer, but something to mention (FS7 has 4K 60fps in 10-bit for comparison). 240fps is also 8-bit and can lead to some noticeable banding (visible in attached video).
Panasonic NEEDS to produce a loupe for the LCD screen. It is unusable outdoors. Way too reflective. This is the number one issue that users will mention.
Good news to all these issues is that, as mentioned above, Panasonic's customer service is top notch. So fingers crossed that some of these cons will be solved in the near future.
