I wanted to acquire a camcorder to video my grandson in his sporting activities. After doing my research I decided that the Panasonic HC-V770 HD would be my purchase. I'm still learning all its functions but as of now I am well pleased with it. The only thing that I wished it had was a larger view finder but this is only because of my "aging eyesight". I could not find a better price on the bundle than what I found at Adorama. I am well pleased!

This camcorder is a workhorse. Easy to use. Decent quality and inexpensive. I shoot with 2-3 of these simultaneously from different angles. I like that you can plug the USB charger cord straight into a power bank for long shoots (10hrs +). I shoot with bright lights and I don't need 4K. The menus are a little bit awkward, but you get used to them quickly.

Excellent entry level camera for live streaming. Unhappy with the remote connectivity to the Panasonic app - unable to figure out 2 things 1. If the camera is wall mounted - how to start connection without reaching up the camera and pressing buttons. 2. HDMI output stops working when camera is remote controlled. So you cannot control the camera remotely while live streaming. 3. Application (iOS/Android) quality is sub-standard and not user friendly - no easy way to stop remote connection via the application.

This is the 2nd of these camcorders I have purchased for recording meetings in COVID. Hadn't used one in years and I am impressed by the features offered in a non 4K unit. The sensor is larger than many at the same price and that was a selling point for us. Great value.

I was sold a cam caddie scorpion ex part number CZCC-0110-EX to hold the rode mic and camera. What I was not told is there is no way to attach the caddie to a tripod. I explained to the sales man what my plan was and he said it was fine. Is there a bracket you have to attach a caddie to a tripod screw? Thanks, Phil

This is a great starter for new videographers. Everything can be done automatically...plus...an amazing amount of manual settings. Very good picture quality. Down side...the panasonic software for editing your movies. Once you learn it...OK, but what they need is a youtube showing the ins & outs. The manual for this program is hard to 'make sense of'!!

Got this for 75yr old Grampa to replace an antique point-n-shoot Flex Cam. A bit challenging at first, but he got the hang of it in a couple days. What a video quality difference! Spectacular clarity, even with max zoom. And welcomed stability that made the vid flow. It's great for soccer games, trains on bridges, boats and barges on the river. Only regret is that we waited too long to buy it! Our unit from Adorama came with extras that the same camera on Amazon didn't include at same price. So glad we bought this. The grandsons' Soccer Championships start next week. THANKS ADORAMA!

I use the v770 to mount on top of a 20' portable camera pole for filming my daughters soccer games. The camera works great, using the app to control zoom and start/stop from an ipad mounted at the base of the pole. The only downside is this seems to be the outer range for the wifi and occasionally the app will loose connection and freeze momentarily. The video quality and the self leveling feature work great.

The camera have some ok features, but still noisy in low light. The worse part is that when recording video with Fluorescent lamps, the video have the most horrible chromatic aberration, it even look like there is double image on the footage while the camera is is panning and recording video even slightly. And the nonsense audio-jack plug of the side of the screen, so you can't close the screen without un-plugging the microphone.

Panasonic have been doing a great job placing 1” sensor and their compact camera, but sadly still on this camcorder lines it has and come with the tiny 1/2.3” sensor size which cause this line of camera to be noisy and a lot of chromatic aberration and the edge of the video soft. So for now I will stop buying this camcorder and thus will stop recommended it to friends. Beside the mic-phone jack is set on the side of the screen which cause problem if you want to close the flip screen. Engineers and no doing their “engineer job.” Another big problem with this camera is that when you are recording with fluorescent light the chromatic aberration is atrocious, making the video totally useless, and if you zoom in is the worse video ever. The MP4 is noisy compared to the AVCHD while on the FZ300 is totally the opposite.

This is a great camera. It has really good picture quality. I use it to record live music inside venues. It has probably the best low light video picture quality I have seen. I have tried other camcorders but this one has the most crisp and vibrant picture in my opinion. It produces good quality sound. I purchased the bundle along with Adobe Premier Elements 14. Lewis at Adorama was very helpful and knowledgeable. I have since purchased an additional battery. I highly recommend the Panasonic HC-V770 for a great quality picture especially in low light conditions. I also recommend Lewis Arthur and the folks at Adorama for the best in customer service.

I purchased this camera in December of 2014. I unfortunately had to sell it in August 2015. I regret that decision. I'm a Panasonic only camera user. I own the GH3, GH4, and X920. Each has its place and purpose, and the v770 was perfect for high speed video, especially kids sports. The microphone is incredible and I plan to purchase the 4K version of it.

Mostly easy to use, nice screen features, zoom is pretty impressive. I use with a Zoom H5 audio recorder (meaning this item has added versatility) and it's great for a break-in indy news reporter, interviews, as well as wildlife recording.

It has most of what you get with a DSLR and is a lot smaller and lighter weight. Surprisingly good quality footage and a large number of exposure settings. In order to adjust f-stop, shutter, focus, etc, you have to push a lot of menu buttons. I wish there were buttons on the housing that were dedicated to controlling these. There isn't an exposure meter. Since you can change the LCD screen brightness, contrast, color, etc, you don't really know what your exposure is. I wish there was a meter or zebra. There isn't a neck strap. That makes me nervous. The battery doesn't last long probably because the LCD screen uses too much power. I wish I could look through a viewfinder.

I use this camera for recording my family vacations or important events. It delivers a high quality recording and the software that Panasonic offers to transfer the video files to DVD and Blu Ray disc is easy to use and play back on my PS4 looks amazing. Battery recording time is about an hour recording at 1080p 60fps. I do prefer to use the 2.0 audio recording and not the 5.1 audio recording.

I have only owned the camera for 5 days at this point. So far, it has taken very good pictures and videos. There are several resolutions that can be setup. The wind noise cancellation seems to work pretty good. I agree with other reviewer that it would be nice to have some kind of video editing software in the box. Another item I miss is the lack of "Time-Date Stamp" on the pictures and videos. Maybe that could be added in a software upgrade.

The Panasonic Video camera HC-V770K has an excellent hardware design and size. It is easy to hold with one hand and all command buttons are visible and well identified. The menu navigation and change of settings are intuitive if you are familiar with video cameras, if not an instruction manual explains each settings function with details. Image quality is full HD and the camera does a good job picking up light and sound. Videos are very clear with different light conditions and you can also set the auto light function to automatically turn the video camera light on whenever is needed. I would like to see in the future an upgrade video camera with a wider hand hold strap, faster menu layout navigation and an editing video software in the box.
