Have been reading about these kits for awhile and finally decided to get one! first thoughts - very easy to set up hardware and software wise, very disappointed with image quality and slight delay in feed (delay in feed could quite possibly be my internet connection tho) however everything else is pretty awesome with a lot of cool features! If Panasonic were to release a better quality camera to include in the kit as well as firmware upgrades INCLUDING an app for WINDOWS then I would even consider giving this product 5 stars!!

I got my Panasonic system from B&H it was on sale for 1 day only from ($) to only ($) plus free shipping. My system came with 2 outdoor cameras, 2 motion sensors, 2 door/window sensors, 1 smart plug, handset and main hub. I have to tell you I'm pretty impressed with this system. I work for a security alarm company so I know how to install alarm systems but one is very easy set up, took me only an hour to install everything. Camera resolution is not HD its 640x480 which is not so bad. I like the fact that you can communicate through the camera and has built in motion sensor. I've heard reviews that main hub keeps disconnecting from wifi but I think that's more of an issue with the router or the internet itself. I have Comcast and my internet is very fast and I have never had any issues with the main hub disconnecting from my wifi network. I'm always able to access my camera anywhere I am without any problems. The one thing I don't like about the system is that you can't set motion/sensor notification alerts without arming the system but maybe Panasonic can do a firmware upgrade on that. I would like to be able to set alert notification for my motion sensor and back camera even if the system is disarm. For the price and the features of the system I think this is a really good security system. I'm now expanding my system and I just bought a Panasonic Siren which emits 110db. Honestly this system has more awesome features that the alarm system I install at my work and the good thing is there is no monthly monitoring fee.

I have an almost complete system from Panasonic. The one outdoor camera in my garage gives frequent false alarms while we are sleeping. I never see anything in the recordings, and I set up mouse traps just in case but have had no clues as to what is setting it off... I even replaced the camera and the new one is doing it too now. It's got to the point that if a burglar really did break in, I wouldn't know it because I never believe the alarms are real. I seriously regret sinking all this money into the system. My advice is keep looking for something better or at least try just one of these cameras first before buying everything.

Ive had these in place for over 6mos and have used them a lot to monitor construction in my back yard. The resolution on the cameras is pretty bad, I know they are not HD, but even in daylight it is so grainy it is hard to make out details more than 20 feet away from the cameras. Photos taken from the camera are even worse. It would be hard to identify an intruder unless they got really close to the camera. The hub reboots a lot and I have frequent problems connecting via wi-fi to the hub to view the cameras - some times have to try several times only to get kicked out and have to log back in again. It is more of a novelty than a serious monitoring system in my opinion. If you have a critical need, maybe upgrade to a more robust system - but if you are checking on packages on the porch or when the kids got home - it should be fine for that.

This is so easy to set up. Love that. It was a good purchase for me. The biggest problem is themoths set it off and night and . Ant figure out how to fix that. And there is a delay before the actuall can begins recording. The moth thing is almost a deal breaker because of the way it records you ha e to go thru every video on that day to be sure nothing went wrong.

This is my first system, I love it. I think its worth the money paid. It could of course be alot better but for the price it does the job. It could have better options once recorded. Cause you have to go thru each and every recordibg. It does go off too much when no one is there. I Dont have my led on and the moths are attracted to the cam setting it off every 15to 30 mins

This product is easy to set up. I followed the instruction and in about 10 minutes the camera is up and running. The image quality is pretty good. The night vision is acceptable too although you won't expect it can really see things clearly like daytime. I am ok with that. But at least it captured the motion and let you know something happened. For that purpose this kit is very good for the job. there are two things that bothered me much. 1. There is a delay of 2-3 seconds between motion detected and video started. I plan to use this to notify me when the kids go home in the afternoon. I place the camera on top of the garage door and it covers the whole driveway. However most of the time it starts to record when the kids walked out the driveway. I can hear they are opening the door but I can't see their faces. This is a little frustrating. I hope it can respond more rapidly. 2. This is the real issue for me. I can't view remotely from my iphone 6! I can view from cell phone perfectly when I am at home with the same wifi. I did get notification in office so I know my home wifi works fine to connect to internet but when I tried to connect to view the captured video from office, it NEVER succeeded. I read the reviews here and some have no problem at all to view remotely but some did have the same problem. So this may be related with the home wifi and router set up. I called the customer service two times and followed the instruction to manually set up IP and opened 3 ports for forwarding. Then I reconfigured the router for those ports but it still didn't work. If this function works, I will give this product a 4.5 star, but if I can't remotely view, this will be really bad. I will try to call again and see if this can be solved. I will give an update on that later. Overall I will say this is a pretty good product. And I do expect this remote view issue can be solved.

I got this from another site so did not pay the MSRP. Set up was easy. I have 2 cameras outside and 2 in. Knowing the video was not HD I was/am not disappointed. I would like to be able to add more than 4 cameras to the hub and I would also like to be able to view my video on something other than a mobile device. Like my laptop when at work. Far as I can tell neither of these are supported. But them for the price I paid these are a good bargain and do the job I need them to do

I bought this system a couple months ago on sale. At this sale price I think I got a good value product. The installation process was relatively simple (still need to test external communication without compromising security). I like that the firmware update went automatically, via WiFi (most other vendors have a very painful firmware upgrade process). The outdoor cameras are compact; however, resolution could be better. Also, it should be clear in the product description that AC power is required (otherwise one could assume that cameras have batteries). The software is only available for phones and PADs, not available for PC nor Mac. The software is ok, functions could be organized in a more intuitive way, but, compared to other systems on the market, is good enough. Notifications are working well, but sometimes recording starts several seconds after the event (I have setup delay to zero). The camera's position is very important. IR cannot be turned off despite that setting is available (I can do this with my Foscam, and it works well). I was expecting to have access to the Recording List from multiple menus/places with one tap, but it is more time consuming. It would be nice to be able to access recordings from the event log. Also, renaming Sensor to Sensor Log would set proper expectation.

Poor video quality, but awful response time on remote monitoring. Video lag time so bad that it made the notifications worthless. Worked slightly better on home wifi network, but completely defeats the purpose of a home monitoring system. Very disappointing product and a waste of my money.

The hub reboots itself at least once every day or so. I suspect there's a problem with the firmware. Too soon to comment on other features. The build quality does seem good.

I was excited when I found a security product that was reasonably priced and was wireless. The product was relatively easy to setup, but I have found that I've had to reset the hub back to factory, every time I attempt to disarm it when coming home. The thing flashes red and just makes noise after using my cell phone to select disarm. I've even had this happen when attempting to just select arm upon leaving home. This is quite frustrating, as it really defeats the purpose of having a security system if it fails to arm upon leaving and just hoses up, so I have to unplug it until I can get home to reset it back to factory setup. I had hoped this would fit my needs as I had also order 2 additional door/window sensors as well as other additional products. If this continues to be a problem I'll have to return the hub to Panasonic for replacement.

Easy to set up, easy to configure and control. Instructions don't include directions on how to reset cameras, so if you need to that, you'll have to look it up online. Will buy more items to complete home security.

It is limited to be used only during daylight, because of IR lights and glass windows. Should be able to disable IR... then it would be an excellent buy/product.

Set up was easy. Connected quickly to my wireless and both cameras worked great. Placement of the cameras took some trial and error but no problems with the camera's operation. Big plus was adding sensors. I added the water leak sensor for my basement hot water heaters. There are several other sensors available to add. Plug the device into a phone line: you will have a great phone answering machine and phone handling device.

It works very nice , but the drawback is monitoring the system from cellphone. I was unable to connect the system through my phone so we can't monitor it from anywhere even though I have great AT&T signal. The Mfr must work on this. another problem is the battery life of the cellphone. It dried out the battery charge

Don't believe Internet device doesn't have basic like email notification. Android app is battery hog so you can't open all the time when travelling

Bought the outdoor camera as an add on to one of the kits. It has much better image quality than the indoor camera. Overall the recording initiation could be better. It seems to lag 2 seconds behind detection. And will not have a perfect stream of video on playback. But the systems works and keeps video local. It would be nice if the system could record continuously but that's not what it was designed for. It would have also been nice if they were more clear about this shortcoming.

I bought one of the multi piece kits and have added a few of these sensors to complete my coverage. It does it's job perfectly. One tip would be to temporarily install it with blue painters tape to make sure that the motion and alignment for detection are good for the window or door that this is being installed on.

Have installed this KX-HNB600 HUB with two KX-HNC200 cameras about a year ago and use it every day/night. No monthly fees. Can monitor from anywhere with my IPhone. Can talk to those at front door. Can watch cars in garage. Not a hitch or problem so far. Will buy one for son and his family - and one for daughter and her family - security seems to be needed more and more each year. Thank you Panasonic for this system !!

This is a wonderful security camera. I bought this to monitor my door and sidewalk in front of the house. The soft setup was straight forward by following instruction provided. The picture motion is little bit behind but it is clear and no detail has been skipped. The only issue is the angular 90 degree DC to AC cable connector as it requires much bigger hole and lot of efforts to drill through the brick wall. If the cable connection point is a straight horizontal connector, the drilling will be much simpler. I also couldn't find any horizontal adapter to help me.

I purchased this set with a holiday offer, so it was quite a bit cheaper. That is why I said the value was excellent. Even so, the camera quality is good, the microphone on the camera's is excellent and the app was really easy to use to configure the smart features. I do wish the sensors were more affordable, if they were, I could see adding to the system. The ability to configure your armed (home), armed (away), record video and receive notifications is really awesome. I had no problems getting everything set up and have had no issues. Affordability is the only drawback I see. If everything was about 1/3 the price, I would have every sensor, smart switches and 2 more cameras. I would like to see a smoke/carbon monoxide detector as an add-on.

Good for sale price. I would not buy at full price. Motion sensor seems to only record when it feels like it. Definition not good. Can't make out face at 10 feet.

Hunting for a wireless connected home with security features. this was the key part and we got 5 of them. so simple to hook up the system and so much fun beyond just the security system. Simple things that make life so much better like having a smart plug turn on the lamp so when you open the door the lights are on so your not fumbling for switches, etc...

I am happy with the cameras and the hub, but figuring out how to set up and understand all of the features is confusing. You have to access online documentation and the way it is presented is not well done. Once it is set up it seems to work quite well except that I have a problem accessing the hub with the smart phone app when I am at home. I ended up purchasing the phone handset that links to the hub so that I can arm and disarm the system reliably from home.

This security system doesn't offer the most basic feature of all, which is continuous recording. All other systems would have a low frame rate continuos recording option, but Panasonic thought it could do without it. The camera only record when it senses movement, but it takes a good few secods to start recording. The result is that I only get to see backs of heads, people leaving the shot, if I see anything at all. So the whole camera part of the system is useless. Also, you can not associate behavior between sensors and cameras. For instance, I'd love to be able to have a motion sensor or a door sensor trigger the camera. Or I'd love to be warned when a door is opened. I am hoping this is something that can be improved by improving the software. The kit looks good, it was easy to install, but the most basic functions aren't there yet.

This could be a great product. However the cameras are not powerful or clear enough. Night vision is only 40feet and blurry at best. The concept is great, the features are great but just not good enough for even home security when it comes to actual use. if Panasonic would step up the quality of the camera and its clarity and abilities this would be a home run.

Great Value for the Price

Great value for what you get. Bought this system and am happy with the quality, performance and flexibility. The only problem I encountered was during set-up. The instructions were not clear on setting up the hub. When doing this, the iphone set up tells you to log your hub onto the wireless network with a generic password where the Droid instructions do not. So when setting up using a droid, make sure you log the hub onto your wi-fi using the panasonic pre-set password; you can do this after...
