Problem is, the best conditions don't last long. Mine, (with all the others) needs to be reset every couple of days (a 10 minute process at least) almost impossible to connect when you're not on your home network. Software is minimal and not easy to access, needs a snooze notifications feature. This camera is more irritating than beneficial.. Would like to see some software updates fixing these issues or I will be joining the class action suit.

can access only if on same wifi as camera. meaning only if around your own house. if leave and try to access remotely will not ever access the camera. my main purpose was to monitor from afar. so many other cameras that can do both for cheaper. will be returning

First purchase of Panasonic system trying it out before installing full system. The camera was difficult to set-up initially. Same complaint as other users, but did get it set-up picture is wonderful, sound and voice work well. Remote Access, will not allow me access from remote WiFi have to turn off and access with Cell Network. This will be a deal breaker if can't resolve it.

I have owned four of these for over a year and have constantly struggled with resetting then every three or four days. They lose the audio and then won't record or the cameras lose both video and audio and can't even be called up on the app. I have an elderly parent who needs monitoring while I am out of the house and I cannot depend on cameras that constantly fail to perform. When you read all the worldwide negative reviews from users who have the same problem you have to wonder why Panasonic sells these at all. I want Panasonic to buy them back because I spent a lot of money on products which chronically fail and are entirely undependable when you need them the most. There should be a class action suit against Panasonic for knowingly selling an inferior product.

The camera remote connection issues are what others buyers have indicated ...very poor. I have two separate units at different properties and they both fail to allow me to connect remotely .. I receive notifications of movement or sound , but it will not allow me to connect to the camera to see movement .. frustrating and waste of money .. One who think a reputable company would correct software or refund money

Absolutely NO help via chat to get this thing set up. I spent 1 hour and 30 minutes attempting to connect device and had no luck at all. I have total ability to follow instructions perfectly but with a result of "Setup Failed" every time that tells me that product fails. Goodbye.

I installed my first Homehawk in a second home to monitor the temperature, mostly. It was easy to set up and the view is very sharp. It has to be reconnected about every minute or two, for some reason. It does reconnect easily after about 15 seconds.

Camera records and triggers on motion as expected. The problem is the app isn't great. I have cameras setup at three different locations. When you get a motion detected alert you have no clue chick camera triggered. So you need to check them all which takes a bit of time. Seems like since the cameras are named you could include the camera that triggered in the message. App is a bit laggy. I suspect that would not be a complaint if I didn't have to go thru too many mouse clicks just to figure out which camera triggered the alert. Also I hate that you have to be at the camera to add the app to a new device. This device needs an https option so you can leverage better apps then the Panasonic one.

My wife spent 2 hours yesterday trying to install this on her I phone with no success. Today i spent almost 2 hours trying to get this piece of junk installed on my android. It never would install and just keeps sending you in circles. the tutorial videos are worthless.

I like the features of this camera. It is very stylish. When I accessed it using my iPhone App on cellular signal, it worked okay (took a long time to connect to the camera, though.) However, when I accessed it at home using Wi-Fi, my iPhone App often could not connect to the camera and displayed an error message "Warning. Couldn't find the HD camera..." I updated to the latest firmware and App, and it didn't help. I hope it is just a firmware issue, and Panasonic will resolve it soon. Otherwise, a good camera when it works.

My expectation was to buy a simple camera and set up in my house. It logs my kids coming and going in the evening, it makes a short video, and it notifies me, it works exactly as I expected. As the price of loan would indicate it is not a high-end security camera for locking down your premises. It's a simple camera that works well. It is Fantastic Four the, trust but verify world. Keeps the kids honest and it would document anything out of the normal. It is very slow to access, but I'm not looking for immediate video surveillance.

I own 6 of these camera's and every one of them experience the same issue. The 5Ghz support is meh...The camera's fails to stay connected to the network. As you can see in the picture, the camera bounces in response time and replies from a client PC. Whoever is writing the firmware really needs to test it before sanding it out to the public. Some updates are okay while others totally reek havoc and make the cameras work worse. I wish you could downgrade the firmware. Also you have to reset the camera to factory default just to connect it to another SSID wireless network.

After more than a year they still have not fixed the issue where if the camera is activated at night, it gets stuck in night vision mode, until the device is restarted. And there is no option to restart the device remotely from the software. While the camera imaging is decent, it is ruined by the fact that night vision mode sticks, once it is activated. No camera should act like this.

Pros - Great image! We use as a baby-monitor. Night vision is great as well. I was able to view the camera when away from my home wifi network. I like that the camera can be closed up when we aren't using it as a baby monitor. Cons - I would like to monitor from my computer, otherwise I might buy a cheap tablet for continuous monitoring. Connectivity - has dropped a few times - but comes back if I close and reopen the app. It was a bit difficult to set up. I need to set up a second camera, we'll see if that makes everything wonky.

If you have an Apple product beware! This is very unfriendly to your system. Extremely, complicated and the support is a constant transfer. By far the worst product support ever!!!

Camera has a nice design, rugged and compact. Video quality is much better than my previous home monitoring system and the 140+ degrees of visibility is a plus. No problems connecting remotely. Would like to see an option to view on a computer and to record onto my phone.

Bough this camra today very good as I have seen oready on other comment on here alot of people buy this camra because they don't want a outside one so most use a indoor one to look out the window at the garden but as most of us have good street lighting or a outside light that lights the garden so when the camra is in day mode perfect untill 2minutes later when the night vision comes on that just makes the camra useless as then cannot see anything at all just pitch black so please can you make a option in the app so you can manually turn off the night vision if you decide you do not want it on I'll be returning mine in a week if not sorted and will do a full YouTube video on this matter if nothing is done as a customer you should listen to us to improve the items then your review will be 100%satisfaction thats only thing letting it down

I have only used this a few times, but so far really enjoy it. The video and sound quality really great. Connectivity seemed a little spotty, but I haven't had the time to play around with it too much. I look forward to using it more!

Waste of money ,You can only see video if your on your own home wifi, I recently got this camera been been try to get video feed away from home but no luck , Android 6.0 note LTE 4G full bars good signal nothing on Hd cam but both outdoor Panasonic cam works fine, Even at Home Google Filber & prettt fadt wifi in the same room if I turn off Wifi then screen goes to turn resolution down even at lowest resolution setting still no picture just same dark screen saying turn down resolution untill I turn Wi-Fi back on my phone then video will show up hopefully a firmware update can fix this problem, too much load time from outdoor cam / loading again just to see Hd cam should be all in one screen

Price is fair, build quality seems good. I think there are some software/firmware changes that could be made. The software does not seem fully Apple compatible as the screen does not move with orientation changes. The video screen does change orientation which is most important. My device seems to get stuck in night vision infrared mode. If the camera is activated at night, then even the next day in full daylight it stays in infrared b/w mode. I've attempted a couple of times to get support online, but no one seems to be able to help. They keep referring me to other phone numbers. If these small issues get resolved it would really it help. Additionally I'd like to see a restart function in the home network application, as unplugging the camera is not often the best option.
