Junk

Base stopped working after just over a year. Warranty is only for a year. Do not buy. Won't buy Panasonic again. I bought a vacuum cleaner from them - also broke after a short time. Stop using junk parts, Panasonic.

jRinger NOT LOUD ENOUGH

I bought model KX-TGF340 (w 3 extra handsets) to replace my very old panasonic phone which I loved!!! The problem with this one is it is not loud enough - if I'm in a room without one of the extensions I cannot hear it at all....waaaaaay to soft and I made sure I had the volume up. I have to find a ringtone with really high pitched notes to even hear it in the same room. Quality in this newer unit is not as good as my old one....but I'm stuck with it. so I am ordering two more handsets!!!!!!

Good replacement for it former generation. Options galore.

Manual is useful, but hard to understand. It uses too many images and symbols and too few words to convey sequence, purpose, and consequences of the operation under study by the reader.

Drops calls

Pros: battery holds a charge, voice is clear Cons: consistently drops calls after several minutes, instructions and menus are nearly impossible to understand and use

Would buy this product again.

These phones replaced our 6 year old Panasonic system. They are easy to use, just like the old ones were.

Not what I thought!!!

The talking caller ID is hard to understand, the functions are difficult. Had an A T & T with a color display before this and this doesn't compare!!!

Alright for the value

The handset lights up when it rings but it should have a light to show that it's charging and so it can be seen in the dark when it's not ringing. It doesn't ring pound enough. Should have a choice of a louder ringtone.

Good value for the money

We still have and use a "land line phone". This one has the 3 handsets (currently only using 2) and was easy to set up. Good value so far. Have not utilized all the features yet but probably will as time goes by.

works good, but has shortcomings

A lot better range than previous Panasonic phones I have had. The range extender makes it even better. I miss that it has no indicator light on the handsets to alert you at a glance if you have a message on the answering machine. I also would like to know the IQ of a design engineer that designs a phone that if set face down on a desk--It presses the buttons!!

Perfectly Fine

Base unit mounts to wall closer than virtually all other wall mountable phones. Handsets are comfortable, clear conversations, no interference and very long range. If you follow the instructions, it's not hard to make adjustments to settings. I really like the simplicity of blocking unwanted calls -- press a button on the handset and that's it.

Cordless phone

The phone replaced an earlier Panasonic two station model that we had for 4-5 years. The older phone simply wore out. The new phone replacing it, had all the older features but with a larger screen and some nice additions. We were very pleased with the purchase and it was easy to program and worked from installation.

Died after 4 months of use

Really like this phone's features and operation, but the cordless operation ceased after 4 months use. The base unit would still charge the handset, but that was all it would do. Display went blank. Sending it back for repair. Very bad quality control. Unit is KX-TGE244.

Very Happy

These phones replaced an older version in which the voicemail stopped working. It was maybe 15 years old. I was initially concerned about the size of the base but that has not been an issue. I love being able to hear messages from all handsets. The caller ID is very understandable, much improved from older model. It's easier to play messages and save them and see how many are saved. I have had no complaints about the quality of the sound of my voice from callers and I can hear callers well. The set up was a snap, just plug it in and it works. I wish this model offered a 4 handset option since that is what I really needed. I will have to get an add on at some point. Plus it came with a paper instruction booklet that I keep handy for future reference as questions arise.

Very Nice Phone

It has been about 3 months now with the new Panasonic # KX-TG6592T phone and we still like it. We like the voice announcements of who is calling along with the ring of a new call. The sound quality of people talking is crisp and clear. The caller ID works well no issues, the battery life has not let us down yet, we can talk along time and still have battery life left before we set it back into the stand. The only issue we have is the answering machine does not indicate the number of messages, it just blinks letting you know there is a message. So I would recommend this phone to my friends.

All around poor experience

After reading the online manual we set the 3 minute message feature but the phone doesn't record at all. I cannot hear callers but they can hear me during active calls. Phone periodically has static. System did not come with user manual; had to search for manual online. A phone should be primarily plug and play but this one has so many issues you have to read the entire manual to figure out how to dial a call.... not really but it is not a system I would recommend. It was for my 80 year old mother and will be returned. The Panasonic I have in my home is great so I'm not sure if it's the quality of this system or if it has manufacturing issues. Either way it's going back to the store.

Recommended

I bought this phone to replace a 5.8 phone that did not have that great of audio quality or range within my house. It also picked up interference from things in my kitchen. This 6.0 Panasonic does a much better job with distance, audio quality and no noticeable interference. It has more features than I expected on a cordless phone: 100 number index, a handset speakerphone, Cellphone Locator, automatic ECO mode, standard AAA NiMH rechargeable batteries that don't hold a memory, up to 4 accessory Key Locators can be used, compatible with Panasonic's Range Extender and when in case of a power failure the base unit will draw off the handset battery in the cradle and you can still make calls using the other handsets in the system. When using a Panasonic 400 headset, audio quality is superb and leaves your hands free. Very good for long conversations or busy phone traffic. The answering machine is excellent and simple to operate and the key pad base with speakerphone is very handy at times. Often a complaint is about the Instruction Manual/Booklet. Panasonic makes everything very clear how to operate all functions of this phone. A big plus. Except for the rather low capacity 400mAh NiMH rechargeable batteries giving 4.5 hours continuous talk time(added 700mAh batteries on my main handset), it's a great phone system and I highly recommend it.

Not sure about purchase

I purchased this phone about a week ago and the number 2 headset takes a long time to charge the phone. Sometimes the charging light is on in the morning after charging all night. This does not make me happy.

economical and great phones

I purchased these at Costco and have been very happy with them which I did not expect since they cost so little, but they have performed beautifully. My 20 plus year old Panasonic phones still wok but they needed new batteries and these were just a little more than the new batteries for the old phones. Panasonic surely makes a great product and I always look for this brand, I have a Panasonic stereo that I bought 32 years ago that still works and the sound is better than any other stereo I have ever listened to.

not as good as previous Panasonic

I replaced my previous Panasonic set that started having number keys that were harder to press. After having the set for probably 15 years I thought that an upgrade would be good. These new ones I thought would be an upgrade based on features, but they were not up to the usual Panasonic quality. My old KX-TG9341 had much better phone clarity and answering machine sound. I had owned many Panasonic phones and answering machines over the decades, but after this one, I am pretty sure I will not buy another.

Falls just short of perfect

Very solid product offering and value. Call blocker is great. A few minor complaints compared to older KX-TG1033 (which was excellent): * Available ringtones are weird. Can't we have the old default Panasonic ringer? * Max volume of ringer and speakerphone are quieter than they used to be. * Earpiece audio is slightly more tinny and echo-y than before. * No battery charging / message waiting LED on top of phone. This was a useful feature. * Handsets are less stable when standing on their own, as when being used as a speakerphone. Case plastic is a bit more slippery than it used to be. * The included NiMH AAA batteries are very low capacity (400mAh). Used to be 550mAh. Buy some 950mAh to get incredible standby and talk times.

Easy in Every Way

I bought this to replace my old Panasonic which I had had for many many years. This model was so easy to order from the Panasonic website, was delivered promptly and was so easy to switch out with my old phone. I particularly appreciate how easy it is to read the screen and all the features. I'm so glad that I updated to this model and look forward for many years of use.

Mostly good

Phones work well but 2 features need improvement. There is no light when there are voicemail messages on phone provider. The wall-phone attachment is designed so it is too high (higher than old ones) and difficult to use.

Exceeded my expectations

I wanted a phone with 3 handsets and enhanced call quality and a message indicator I can see from across the room. My dream was to have remote control for the answering machine- I googled for that feature and came up empty. Imagine my surprise when I found that the handset indicates messages waiting, and missed calls, and can function as a remote to play back messages! Sweet. Panasonic should promote that feature. I would have zeroed right in on it. I like the size and configuration of the base on the KX-TGF343B and might have gotten it if I had seen it, though it costs a little more- the base is more compact. But it doesn't have the LED display that brightly shows up new messages at a glance from across the room. I don't know if you could tell that from the LCD display. I was surprised when I took the product out of the box how lightweight everything is compared to the ancient Uniden and GE products it was replacing. That probably doesn't matter and saves on material costs. All in all I am pleased- the phone exceeded my expectations. I just would have liked a more compact base but with an LED display of messages, keypad not necessary on the base. Perhaps the keypad will come in handy some day if all the batteries on all the handsets run out at once! That's one reason for duplicate handsets- when one runs down, it goes back on the cradle and I pick up another one. The third is next to the bed upstairs. Battery life is good. And my friends have all commented on the enhanced voice quality- they are happy, too.

KX-TG6592T: Excellent Phone

By Mr J.

I purchased this phone for my parents, who are both in their 80's. They love the large, well-lit buttons and display. They are also impressed with the excellent sound, including a nice, loud volume. They were simply amazed by the talking caller ID, which they had never experienced before! I set the phone up for them, have used it often and can confirm their comments, especially the sound. The ringer volume is great, as is the speakerphone volume. The handset equalizer and clarity boost both ...

first class phone, if the volume could be enhanced to a higher degree it would make an excellent product to medium hard of hearing.

The Panasonic KX-TG6592T Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System with 2 Handsets is designed to enable consumers with hearing loss, vision impairments and arthritis to comfortably handle and operate the handset with ease. Dect Plus technology takes the superb sound quality and outstanding range of DECT 6.0 phones to a whole new level. By increasing the frequency of error correction by up to 80x, the transmission quality is improved and the phone's range is extended. Engineered to work in 1.9GHz frequency, DECT 6.0 phones won't conflict with common wireless devices such as 2.4GHz routers, wireless keyboards and mice, microwave ovens and other household items. And because it's digital, you'll enjoy long range and clear sound while deterring eavesdropping.

This features automatically lowers the power consumption when you're using the handset close to the base unit. Not only does it extend the available talk time, it's good for the environment. When less power is used by the handset to communicate with the base unit, battery life is prolonged which results in less frequent charging and can result in fewer batteries in landfills.

Multi-tasking while you are talking on a cordless handset whether it's jotting down a quick note, pouring a glass of juice or folding a few pieces of laundry is often difficult due to the tendency of the handset to slip as you cradle it on your shoulder. The rubberized grip helps prevent slipping, making it easier and more comfortable to cradle the phone when you want to work with your hands.

Panasonic KX-TG6592T Features

  • Talking Caller ID: Now you can hear who's calling from across the room without having to get up. Using text-to-speech technology. Panasonic phones featuring Talking Caller ID that announces caller ID information in between rings
  • Tone Equalizer: Everyone hears differently. To maximize clarity or accommodate hearing loss, Panasonic added the Tone Equalizer to all 2011 models. This exclusive feature actually lets you control the bass, mid-range, or treble tones in a callers voice for maximum clarity
  • Silent Mode: Now you can program each handset to ring or not at your discretion. For example, before you go to sleep, set the bedside handset to Silent Mode so that it won't ring for the duration of your slumber. In the meantime, the handset in another room is unaffected and rings as usual
