At first it did not work - two red lights on the indicators. Went through the steps to de-register then re-registered it. It works perfectly.

We bought this to extend the range of our cordless phone down to a metal shop building we have. It's about 90 feet away. We have the base unit in the basement and put one extender in an upstairs window facing the shop. We put another extender in the window at the shop. It picks upthe signal just fine. Much easier than running another phone line down to the shop.

Does not work at all. Now I have to return the entire phone set. What junk. I had a previous version phone set and extender that worked perfectly.

We have a very challenging situation of having to extend the range from a heavily constructed storage closet on the back of a building to an office on the front side of a brand new building. The challenge was also finding a high position between the base and the desk set. It does work most of the time. Sometimes there is a bit of static in the handset in the office or the signal has dropped but that handset is used very little so it is fine. That is only to say that very thick new walls are a tough problem for any device.

We bought this range extender as recommended since we have an acre and live in an area where all houses are on an acre. We had coverage withjust the phones of 1/2 acre. We placed the extender outside in a building 100 ft from the phones in the house. We now have phone coverage to almost 2 acres. So yes, I would say that is excellent coverage. I can take the phone anywhere in the yard when I'm working in the yard and to the neighbors' houses.

I was having signal issues with my new Bluetooth Cordless Phone set. I figured it was worth a try. Definitely improved signal quality. I live in a ranch house, so range from the base is not a big issue. My base is in the center of the house, so I put the extender in the family room, which is at one end. Placement is important. I tried putting it in a different location with marginal results. The best solution is to hang it on a wall to gain the best results.

I purchased this product because the new Panasonic KX-TGE433B Cordless Phones I purchased had no range. My old Panasonic phones worked all over my extensive property, not these, they won't even work in the house! So....I purchased the Range Extender and now my phone at least works in the bedroom, but not well, I still lose the link to calls sometimes. I must say at this point that nothing has changed in my home. The old Panasonic phones worked right up to the day I disconnected them, some of the keys no longer worked so had to buy new ones. I am sorely disappointed in both the Panasonic phones and the Panasonic range extender.

Easy to use. Extends range as described. Placed the unit in our garage about 50 yards from home base. This supported a cordless unit about 100 yards from home base.

We had experienced snap, crackle and pop then disconnect with the phone on our porch. The extender was easy to set up and worked immediately.

Now I have no excuse for not answering the phone when I'm out in the garage or in my shop. The sound quality is much superior to the cell phone I had been using when in the shop.

The instructions were in adequate and there is no "locator" button. I would send it back if it wasn't such a nuisance. It provided little extended range, about 15 feet.

The pros: this thing works. Not strongly. We still have problems with commercial steel-studded walls being a signal break. But it does work. The cons: setup is INFURATING! In order to work, the device needs to be "registered". How do you do that? It doesn't SAY in the support lit. There's just a website referral...that doesn't work. So yeah...it took 30 minutes to get an OK device going. But it was cheap, and yes...it does kinda get the job done.

At first had it mounted on a kitchen wall with the phone located in a separate room in the back of my garage. Although I had the green lights thee was a little static on the phone. Moved the unit further out towards the room and it now works fine. Just have to be careful on where it is mounted.

So many products these days don't do what they are supposed to... but this one actually did! Since my parents' phones didn't have a very good range (and they are always outside in the garden), we decided to give it a try. My 80-year-old, non-tech Dad was able to set the product up with no problems (he just followed he instruction manual), and now he and my Mom can answer the phone and enjoy chit-chatting from their garden. They are very happy and so am I. It was worth the money for sure! I would recommend giving it a try. :)

The KX-TGA405B range extender is a must if you need to reach out. I put one high up, on my enclosed porch. now I can use my phone 2 blocks away. it has to be in line of sight. I highly recommend this product! only wish it had battery back up.

This device did a super job of extending the range of my system. We are happy with the purchase. The item was shipped fast and packed right. My only advice to new buyers is to follow the instructions. You may have to punch the "Locator Intercom" button on your base station a few times till the amplifier is added to the network and both of the lights turn green. Be patient, the results are worth it!

First the instructions say connect the power cord. Then program device followed by connect to power again. Instructions aren't very clear. Plus it's only good for two phones. My system has four phones. regardless, I can't get it to work for me. I'll call tech support and see what's wrong but my gut says, if I can, return it.

Do the extenders communicate exclusively with the base, or will one communicate to a second extender, such that I can use two extenders to effectively double the range in one direction? I'm at the limit of one extender, and would like to add a second extender to expand the limit further. If they only communicate with the base, rather than each other, this would obviously not work. Clarification would be good.
