I've been using Panasonic phones for over 4 decades now, so I wanted to be honest here in my disapointment with their latest phone I just bought. These are simple use aspects that I've taken for granted until I started using the new phone. First off is the shape and weight of the phone. Frankly, it's too light, and trying to manipulate the buttons with one hand has it slipping around in my hand as I press buttons with my thumb; it rocks back and forth in my palm. Now granted, my other Panasonic phones have the belt/pocket clip on the back which aided as a grip/slip deterent, and the few ounces more in weight also made a nice difference. This phone does not offer the option of a pocket/belt clip. I found myself using the clip for a hands free aspect at times when I need both hands for other things while talking on speaker phone. The screen is bigger, but so is the font, to the point that it uses up the bigger screen so much that it does not always alow the caller name AND number to appear in the screen at the same time, so you have to prompt it to show in the next screen function. As the phone is ringing, you have to figure out who it is before you answer. Very inconvienient. The caller block feature was a big reason for wanting this phone, but it took me awhile to realize that there is not a dedicated Calls Blocked list/ file. When you block calls, they are in the calls recieved list, and you need to leave them there. I have always deleted this list, and discovered that once I save calls into the Blocked feature, when I delete the number from my recieved calls, they are no longer in the phone or blocked. This is not clearly explained in the owner's manual. This phone was purchased for my shop to replace a 20 year old Panasonic that finally died. I still have an older Panasonic (set of 4) in the house (Model KX-TGA101S) that I can't help but to compare the new ones to. The quality is there, but I really find the new one to be less user friendly.

I will not know until I get an AC adapter that will work with the base. It simply will not attach to the small probe fitting. No AC

Haven't used these phones long enough to determine all of the pros and cons but so far, I'm disappointed that there is no external signal for voice messages waiting and I've experienced some sound quality issues. Fortunately, I still have my previous 2-handset phones so that I can switch back if it continues to be a problem.

It works fantastic, sounds super clear and I can finally hear myself talk with this phone. The large display makes using cordless phones inside the house cool again.

Expandable Cordless Phone with 2 Handsets
This practical, sleek black home system with one handset includes one-touch Call Block to stop up to 150 bothersome caller numbers, improved high-contrast displays and keypads, a 100 number phonebook, nine speed dial settings and handset-to-handset intercom. Available with one, two or three cordless handsets, this system is expandable up to six handsets for calling convenience throughout the house.
Block Unwanted Callers
With a dedicated Call Block button on each handset, it's easy to block telemarketers, robocalls and other bothersome caller numbers. One button registers up to 150 caller numbers - even while the phone is ringing or while you're talking or listening.
High-Contrast Displays and Keypads
In one quick glance, large, 1.6-inch, high-contrast white backlit LCD handset screens clearly show calling functions in any light. Soft-touch amber backlit keypads and smartly positioned phone function buttons provide enhanced readability.
Ringer IDs
Select a ringer from the system's library to link individual ringtones to your pre-programmed phone book entries. Your assigned pre-programmed ringtones will sound when corresponding Caller ID numbers are received from incoming calls.
Extend Talk Time
With the system's Intelligent Eco Mode, handset power consumption lowers automatically on the handset nearest the base unit. The result is extended talk time and less power consumed by the handset and base unit.
Additional Calling Conveniences
With the Panasonic KX-TGD512B system you can program and store up to 100 numbers in your phonebook, enjoy the time-saving convenience of nine speed dial settings and handset-to-handset intercom. Handsets provide talk time up to 10 hours and up to 5 days of standby time.
