Link2cell is a nice feature. It will make it easy to lose the land-line when my service bundle expires. It took a while to find a list of compatible cell phones because retailers seem not to think showing that is important. Could be something Panasonic marketing could stress to good effect. I never did find a compatibility list for vendors of other comparable products, which is why I settled on this brand. No idea how it compares to others, but I'm pleased enough with this one. This phone is complicated. That's hardly fair criticism, though, because there isn't a way to have so many features and also have default settings that will suit everyone. You'll need to fuss with this thing a while to get it the way you want it. People averse to reading instructions will not like this. People who complain about battery life probably have not noticed that the included batteries are only 400 mAh. That's only half the lowest capacity replacements I found. A handset that will be heavily dependent on battery power ought to have better batteries than the original ones, but for light use the included batteries will be okay. One setting I have not been able to find is how to turn off the beep when a handset starts charging. Handsets do that spontaneously occasionally, and it's irritating when the one in its charger near my bed does that during the night.

This is our second set of Panasonic cordless phones. The first one started cutting out in the middle of calls, so we had to replace it. This one has a few major design flaws. When you listen to voicemails from a handset, there is no option to delete the messages. You have to memorize a code or go through a six or seven step process to delete the message. Also, it will connect to your cell phone, but you cannot answer calls through the handsets and actually hear the person. It's all garbled. Other than those major flaws, it works. As with most cordless phones nowadays, you cannot hold the phone between your ear and your shoulder.

I had no problem setting up all five handsets. Was very easy. Love the read-out very visual. Bought this unit to replace an old AT&T three-handset because the readout was getting bad. I like being able to choose which handset to have the audio call announcement. I wish there was an easier way to enter numbers into the phone book, ie. voice command to add names and numbers.

THIS PHONE WAS SO DEFECTIVE. 1ST--CLICKING SOUNDS ON PHONE CALLS (PANASONIC WAS BLAMING MY HOME) 2ND--PHONE KEPT SAYING LOW BATTERY ALTHOUGH ALL HANDSETS WERE FULLY CHARGED. I WAS PLAYING MUSICAL HANDSETS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHICH HANDSET IT WAS. WHEN YOU RETURN A DEFECTIVE PHONE, THEY WON'T PAY FOR RETURNED SHIPPING CHARGES. I GOT AT&T PHONE AND I LOVE IT AND NO CLICKING ON PHONE CALLS SO IT'S NOT MY HOME.

I DID HEAR A CLICKING SOUND ON A PHONE CALL. SO FAR I HAVEN'T HEARD IT AGAIN. I ALSO DON'T CARE FOR THE ROUNDED HANDSET. YOU CAN'T LAY IT FLAT ON A SURFACE.

My very ancient Panasonic was cutting out (It was nearly old enough to vote). I liked it so much, I hated to face a replacement, but my family was firm in their conviction that I needed a new phone so that they could follow our conversations. Now that I have this one, I'm sorry I waited so long. This is a wonderful phone. Set up was relatively easy. One feature I do not like is the voice identification. I did not know that voice ID was the default, so I was startled when I got the first call. I had to look up how to turn it off, and then I had to turn it off on each handset. As long as you're prepared for an unknown voice the first time you receive a call, that shouldn't be a deal breaker. Aside from that, there are several great features. The Link-to-Cell is wonderful! If I forget my cell in my purse or if I'm recharging my cell, it rings through the handsets. In addition, using a simple set of instructions, I was able to transfer all my cell phone contacts to the new Panasonic! That alone is worth the price! My fingers thanked me! When I want to unlink the cell, the instructions are quick and easy. The call block is a huge benefit. To be able to block unwanted calls immediately with a single button is especially convenient. I'm still exploring other features, but I couldn't be more pleased. My family loves it, too -- they can finally understand what I'm saying.

I Can't figure out how to use this. It looked so easy on TV, but I can't get anything to work, connect, etc. and the online CHAT is NEVER available. I can not find a phone number to call to talk to someone...so, back it goes.

Great-Call blocking Not Good-No Voice enhancement like my older model; I have some hearing loss and the volume control is not as high as my older model. Also their is a "ringing" sound in the background when I am talking to people. I know it is the Phone because I have other phones in the house on my land-line that do no have this sound. I would appreciate advice as to how these things might be improved. Otherwise, I will have to get a different phone.
