I use a pair for general use, and another pair for monitoring my sound while video editing. There is a criticism in another review about the ear pads not being replaceable. They are in fact replaceable with readily available replacement ear pads. Another criticism in yet another review says the cord should be a foot longer, but they fail to mention the headphones come with a cord extension (as well as a really nice headphone bag, and an adapter for those needing a larger jack). For the style, comfort, performance, and money, Panasonic really hit one out of the park with these.

These were great for about a year. Headphones still look new! I love the style. Unfortunately, after about a year, the left speaker is no longer putting out bass. So the right side is heavy sounding and there is no way to fix this. And the cord is about a foot too short.

I bought these headphones based on my research & reading all reviews from different websites. When I received them I could not adjust the volume...I used them with my laptop & I updated all of my audio controls, basically did everything I could to enhance my listening. There is nothing wrong with my pc, there was not anything further I could do. Now, the left earpiece is not working at all. Very, very disappointed in these headphones!

first let me start with looks, they look cool, retro cool, I live in the city and it matches my downtown vibe. they are not cheaply made, they look durable and they are comfortable. the sound is not as great as I expected, needs better mids but overall bass is good. my podcasts sound null but when I listen to rock is good sound. this will not replace my more expensive headphones but I like them

They're a really great set of headphones, but the leather starts to come off.

These headphones offer excellent sound and durability for the price. They also have this very cool neo-retro look, as if you're an airline pilot in some steampunk future. They are also quite tough, and the one pair I've had has lasted 8 years of pretty strenuous use at this point. They do, however, not have any inline microphone. That does simplify the design, but if that's important to you might want to look elsewhere.

A lightweight and fairly comfortable set of headphones. The cord is soft and easy to wrap when not in use. Like others have mentioned, the ear pads will flake off at some point exposing the foam underneath. It would be nice if they were replaceable. Overall I like the sound for the relative price point, but ear pads will not last with heavy usage.

These are really good headphones that only started to fail on me ,I've had them for 4 years now , I wish they made replacement earpads other than that these are the best

I bought my first pair of these beauties almost 6 years ago and they're still going strong. At the time I bought the red color because they were a bit cheaper than the rest, but red isn't really my color. I'm not at all replacing the red ones (there's nothing wrong with them!) but I'm looking into getting either the blue or black this time around so they fit my style a bit better. The only thing I've noticed with the pair I have is that - 6 years in - the cover on the padding has begun to dry/crack in places. But not to any extent that I would stop using them. They're my go-to headphones that I use at least 4/5 days each week.

Got this because it was on sale. I am a fan of Panasonic and it's subsidiary audio brands. The sound quality is perfect for monitoring during sound editing and very comfortable for long term wear. Stylish as well!

Excellent little pair of headphones. The 40mm drivers really shine, and for the price and Panasonic quality - they are the headphone to beat.

Wanted to get my son a set of monitor headphones for use in the car where background noise is a problem. I got a special price from an email and acted quickly.

I'll admit it -- I bought these headphones because they look awesome! And they do. The colors are fantastic, they're stylish, and well built. But I'm really disappointed by the sound quality. I find them tinny and weak. If I were to choose again I would select sound over style. I'm not sure why the two have to be mutually exclusive, but in this case they are.

Overall nice sounding, and stylish headphones, but after 2 years the 'leather' is flaking off at the slightest touch and I can no longer use the headphones. Looks like i'm not the only one experiencing this issue. If you want headphones that will last years, dont get these.

At first glance they seem to look like no frills regular headphones found in a , after using them i found the sound quality to be very good. Love the design of them which remind me of 1950's style headphones. Thanks to the adjustable sides they were very comfortable. I used them with my tablet, laptop and cell phone. The sound quality with each device was very good. Since these are over the ear head phones they did keep out some outside noise, obviously not noise canceling but good enough for every day.

I absolutely love my new Panasonic RP-HTX7-P1. They are light and comfortable for daily use. The quality of audio is great and I can wear them for 8 hours while working and it feels perfectly comfortable. Design is a little nerdy but works for me and they come in a lot color options which is great. If you are looking for something to use daily for hours - look no more. Panasonic did a great job with RP-HTX7-P1. Also I can see that it would make a great gift for any teenager.

These stereo headphones are simply chic! The color is a muted pink and they are very retro looking and stylish. They are light weight and could probably be used for travelling, but I haven’t used them for that purpose yet. They are ready to use right out of the box. Just plug the jack in and you are instantly set to rock and roll. So far I have used these on my laptop, ipad and android phone. The sound is equally crisp on each. They are not top end headphones, but are a super bargain for the good sound quality you get. The ear cups are perfectly formed around my ears and the adjustment bars slide up and down easily to make a great fit on my head. Since they are designed well, I have not had any problems with wearing them for extended periods of time. The longest I have worn them at one time is about 3 hours and they still feel comfortable so that is a real plus. They have a four foot cord, which for my purposes works just fine. I can stick the phone in my pocket and still have room to maneuver while I am running around the house. They are sturdy yet flexible, fit well, comfortable to wear, and the sound quality is very good. They are a great bargain for the price!

I've owned these cans for about 5 years now. I must say, they are a decent set of headphones. It seems to play all types of music well. Bass is low and not too muddy. Highs are slightly rolled off and never get too sibilant. Mids are ever so slightly recessed, but they are still good. My favorite part of these is how comfortable they are to wear, even for long periods of time. They are so light that you forget they are even on your head sometimes. A slight con can be that the bass does slightly leak into the mids, most likely do to the fact that they are closed headphones. Overall, if you can find these for a reduced sale price, they are easy to recommend. ..

These are honestly the best headphones I've ever owned, and I've had quite a few pairs. They're incredibly comfortable (sometimes worn for hours at a time), and whenever I walked in the cold they kept my ears warm! Amazing sound quality (I'm not a musician, but just listening to iTunes it's perfect) and they block out a lot of outside noise. Incredibly durable, I've dropped them on the ground countless times and they're fine. If these ever wear out or break, I'm definitely getting the same kind.

Like all Panasonic products that i've purchased throughout the years, I'm impressed with the style of these headphones. I prefer over the ear headphones and living in the northeast, they make for wonderful earmuffs! I use them primarily with my ipod, and sometimes when I'm listening to music or videos on my computer. They are not "audiophile" quality headphones, but they're serviceable providing adequate sound reproduction based upon the quality of sound pumped through them!

I purchased this headphone set back in 2011 for 50$'s on sale direct from the manufacturer. These headphones have premier sound for the dollar and fit snugly, albeit a little bit tightly around your ears. They cancel out just about every sound around you allowing for comfortable sound, while still being able to take notice of the family nagging at you to "take your headphones off". Over the years these things have been dropped, sat on and exposed to water. They still sound like brand new. The only time they sound fuzzy, is when the audio file your listing too was fuzzy to start with. Great product, great price, great vintage style. 9/10 would and have recommended to everyone I know who cares.

These headphones were just what I needed w/out spending hundreds of dollars. Sound was better than expected and even seemed to have some noise cancelling going on. I liked that. For my use... couldn't have gotten better headset for the price.

Overall rating is an average based on my objective vs personal stances. Objectively the headphones sound great, they're lightweight, have multiple adjustment points for proper fitting, the materials make a stable construction, and you just can't beat that price. Personally though, if I could redo the purchase, I wouldn't buy these headphones for myself because: 1) the earpieces are small and meant for children/teens or adults with small ears of which I am neither so my ears get uncomfortably shoved into the small ear holes, 2) since the cord is 2 feet too short I had to buy an extension so that I can lounge in my computer chair while I listen to music, 3) and hrmm can't think of a third[, like I said they are great headphones just not for me]. Due to the pros I listed above, I plan to continue using the headphones for the next couple months while I save up for different headphones. I can wear the headphones in a more forward position (off-center from my ear hole) so that my ears don't get shoved all the way into the ear holes. Since these are a great set of headphones for the right person, I plan to re-gift them to my niece. They will fit her great and she'll look too cool w/their retro look.

I got these as a Christmas gift about 3 years ago and they have been my best friend all through college when studying they are amazing. They fit great and are comfortable even after many hours of wearing them. The only bad thing I can say about them is that now the leather like fabric on the padding is falling off and I don't really know how to fix that.

Very pleased with the Panasonic RP-HTX7. I ran across a recommendation for these headphone in review of the best headphones under $100 and was intrigued that the price was closer to the bottom that the top. I found a pair with the black covers at Adorama for under $. I was looking specifically for a high-efficiency unit to use with my MP3 player and the Panasonics fit the bill. I like a right-angle plug for my headphones so a bought a right-angle adapter. I haven't tried it but it's fun to see folks modding these headphones to get a little more out of them.

I got these probably three years ago for a Christmas/Birthday present. These headphones are the perfect balance between quality and value. I don't feel like they're too valuable to lug around with me all the time, but at the same time they're certainly not shabby in any way. My parents are divorced so I find myself bringing them back and forth constantly, to school and to friends' houses, etc. They're so durable! The sound quality has not depleted at all since I got them three years ago, and I love that! I think that because of my misuse, however, I might need to re-solder them pretty soon. I would never go for those other flashy headphones. They may work well, but they're much too pricey. These, however, are just as good quality wise for a fraction of the price. Not to mention the colors, these are just too great.

I bought these headphones about 4 years ago and they're still working perfectly. The simple vintage style is really cool. I don't like all the flashy headphones out there so these were a perfect choice for me. The ear shells actually do a pretty good job of canceling outside noise, and the sound is really clear. They come in a lot of really good colors too, I would highly recommend these to anyone looking for a really good pair of headphones for a good price. The only reason I'm replacing them (with a new pair of the same headphones haha) is because the material on the inside of the ear shells is starting to flake off, that's the one thing I think could be improved. Other than that these are a totally awesome set of headphones!

Thank you Panasonic!

50 dollars got me a pair of extremely comfortable headphones that sound better than my 150 dollar recording monitors, these are crisp, light, strong and cool. Thank you Panasonic for providing a quality product for a quality price in these crazy times! Quality enough for professional music production, durable and light enough for leisure and sports. Just awesome.

I'll break this down into a couple of sections: Design: I love the retro design of these headphones; the sliding adjustment is a nice touch, as it's really smooth and feels secure. The leather headband is a nice touch. I found the pads around the ears to push in a couple of unpleasant places, but otherwise do a nice job of blocking out noise. Personally, I would have made the green into a matte finish rather than a glossy look. Sound reproduction: Excellent. I've tested it with a variety ...

The RP-HTX7-W1 from Panasonic offers terrific stereo sound in a stylish, ergonomic design. The padded, Around-Ear earcups help to isolate you from unwanted outside noise and the adjustable headband provides a secure and comfortable fit.
A 40mm driver is housed inside each earcup to provide an extra-wide frequency response with deep bass, clear midrange and smooth treble. The single-sided cable helps to minimize tangles. The standard 3.5mm connector ensures wide compatibility with a variety of consumer devices.
