Fantastic camera and bundle. Stealth look of S5iix is a head turner and the images coming out of this are drop dead gorgeous. Haven't had time to play with video yet but since its pores out of the box, it will be phenomenal! The extra battery coming with he unmade was really helpful during usage. Would highly recommend this bundle.

Fantastic camera and lens combo. Powerhouse of a camera. Image quality competes with the best in the category, if not the best. Fantastic photo capabilities, especially with LUTs. Really shines in the video category. The fact it can take SD Cards makes the media so much more accessible as a tool for everyone.

Great service and fast shipping with adorama, would use their services again. The camera came in great shape and has been fun learning how to use the 6k opengate features.

This camera will surprise you, I was a Sony FX3 and Sony A7 RV user and I bought this Panasonic S5 IIX for travel and I tell you that I ended up selling my FX3 as well as my RV, for photography 24 mp are more than enough for me to work on my social networks and for Vlog video it has miles of advantages over the Slog3, in short I ended up buying two S5 iix in an excellent offer at Adorama and I am more than happy.

This camera, paired with the Atomos ninja v+ for raw recording is FX3 level. The autofocus at base iso and 180° shutter is incredible. I've been using the 24mm and 50mm s pro and the images are some of the best I've had in my career! The lack of high speed frame rate is negligible because I punch in to aps-c 4.4k for 60p or I use Topaz Labs.

Honestly the best hybrid camera for the price but only given 4 stars for a few lacking things that could be improved in the future. I'll start with the good, the camera feels good in the hand, is pretty reliable except for a few moments it freezes and you have to restart it, and it has some of the best video features of any mirrorless camera at any price. It also is a great photo camera which I feel like gets overlooked a lot. Also the AF is pretty reliable and surprising how good it is for Panasonic's first try with PDAF. And all this for around $2000, you can't really ask for more. Now for the things that could be improved through future software updates, for some reason there is no option for in-camera multiple exposure, I know this is a niche thing but still fun to play around with and it was in the S5 so I am not sure why it isn't here. Also I don't know why the mechanical shutter only goes up to 7fps, I am sure the camera has the throughput for it since you can do 30fps electronic and every camera at this price range can do at least 10 mechanical so it would be nice to somehow unlock 10+fps without having to worry about rolling shutter. My last big feature I would like to see is a way to lock the sensor when the camera is turned off and for cleaning, it is nerve wrecking when trying to clean it and the sensor wont stay still and keeps wobbling and you can't get a good edge-to-edge clean in one swipe; going with this having the sensor cover the sensor when it is turned off would be nice to see as well. My last set of issues is with the selection of L-Mount lenses, I know there are quality options from sigma but it would be nice to see Lumix take more interest in developing lenses, there aren't many fast more speciality lenses and I am not sure if they don't see there being a market for that with their users but maybe they don't have any of those people because they have never given them the ability to so it is an endless cycle. There are a few hardware things like it would have been nice to have a CFast card slot in this so you didn't need an external SSD when recording higher video formats but it is nice that option is there, also the rubber on the grip is a little lose so that may be some quality control issue. Overall a very good camera that could be 5 stars if they bring some quality of life software updates and the L-Mount alliance start making lenses that can more closely rival the offerings of the other mirrorless brands.

I love every bit of this camera, from the build quality, photo and video clarity, video recording options. I would say this is the best hybrid camera.

Amazing package from Adorama, in other stores you only get the camera and lens. The additional stuff you provide as options at a very small fee is what made me buy from Adorama. In terms of the camera, it gives super sharp images and has amazing video quality. I will surely enjoy my filming and photography here in Nairobi, Kenya.

Amazing camera. I am a professional drone photographer trying to get into regular photography. This is my first camera, and it has some incredible features. Solid build. Great bundling. Amazing photo quality. Would highly recommend. The only thing I would say is that the bag it comes with is a bit small, and, while it fits my camera and lens, it is quite tight. But whatever. It will do. Also, huge recommendation of Adorama. Take advantage of their bundling and fast free shipping.

The Panasonic Lumix S5IIx is a powerful and versatile hybrid camera that is perfect for both photographers and videographers. It boasts a full-frame 24.2MP sensor, 5.9K/30p video recording, and a ton insane features. It won't disappoint! If you are looking for a powerful and versatile hybrid camera that can shoot both stills and videos, the Panasonic Lumix S5IIx is a great option. Make sure to take advantage of Adorama's bundling, I saved a ton of money to get 2 extra lenses.

During testing of the video capabilities, I found two dead pixels. I shot in 4K All-I at 400 mbps. It was only noticeable in the editor. Other than that, it works fine. Even shot in 101 degree weather in Phoenix. The photos are immaculate. The best autofocus system I have ever used. Will send back to get replacement.

I bought this camera, after selling my Canon R5c, exclusively for video and it has not let me down. It is easy to use, the 4k output is sharp and detailed and the camera is easy to use. Since I use it most often on a gimbal, I will not go into detail about its excellent ergonomics.

Very good camera, color, image quality and auto focus, at the top! and it is a Sony a7 IV user who says so. the SSD is pure happiness!, in short, it would take a whole day to quote the superlatives of this Lumix s5IIX. I almost returned the product, because Sony and Lumix are different in many things and it takes time to adapt, but what a pleasure afterwards! finally I do not regret having bought this camera!, and Adorama always at the top level delivery, sending and speed, protection, Never disappointed!

The Panasonic I have been waiting for! great video quality aside, the main reason I purchased this camera is because of the updated auto focus. it doe snot disappoint. I now have the s5 s5II and s5IIX. Cannot recommend enough!

I'm coming to this review from an interesting place: My other camera is micro four thirds (an OM-1), and my _prior_ full-frame camera was a Sigma fp. The Lumix S5 IIX has the advantages I purchased it for: It's full-frame, with the associated advantages for portraiture; it has a range of lenses available with good weathersealing (not IP53 as Olympus pro offerings, but still good), great sharpness, and reasonable pricing (the Lumix S 85mm f/1.8 is perhaps the prime I use with it most frequently); it can record video in BRAW while connected to a Blackmagic Video Assist; and _unlike_ the Sigma, it has IBIS. So why not five stars? The short answer is that I've been spoiled by the OM-1 on usability, shiny features (live compositing &c), and range of physical controls. Perhaps comparing the flagship of one system to a mid-range camera of another is unfair. I bought the S5-IIX for portraiture and videography, and it does those things well; but there's a special something missing.

Raw record for cine level quality
By Jesse E.
The hybrid of the moment takes my 5 stars
By OLAYMYS H.
