Really helps with a 55" Panasonic tv. The sound quality was not very good before adding this sound bar. Football games were really bad with crowd noise overriding the commentators. This sound bar was extremely easy to hookup since both are Panasonic brand.

I purchased the system on sale. Setup was easy and complemented my Panasonic BD/player and TV. The speaker was recognized by the other components and controls from remotes. I was not impressed with the sound when I first started using it. As I learned the different modes available and tried them I was able to get a rich room filling sound. I feel I made a good purchase for the price and am happy with the space saving design.

I called a Panasonic Product Specialist before buying as I wanted to be sure it would be a good match for my 47" Panasonic Viera. The Specialist assured me it would be a good match. I ask if I would need any cables to connect to my TV and was told " any cable I would need would come with the product. Imagine my surprise when I opened the box to only find a power cable. I called back to Custer Service and was told " sorry you've received incorrect information. Connecting cables are not included." I went back to the product guide and found what I needed and ordered it from Amazon. Now I'm up and running.

We were looking for a simple and economical solution to sound for our plasm Panasonic TV. This fit that need. No additional accessories needed except the cable. We are in a large open room with high ceilings and tile. We can now understand dialog and the overall sound is much better. There are a few settings for the sound - music, cinema, stereo, etc.....not much difference between them. It would be what you would expect if you were able to hook up two speakers to the TV.

I was looking for a sound stand that had ARC support (to connect my TV) and bluetooth / NFC (for mobile) as I listen to quite a bit of music. This seemed like the best option as it doubles as a wireless speaker system and an ARC supported sound stand which reduces the pain of using a second remote. Overall a decent buy - It WILL disappoint you if you are obsessed with sound quality and impress you if you are just looking for a decent, inexpensive sound stand that has all the features and convenience built into it. It is a great improvement over your TV sound and good for everyday use and listening. I am stuck in the middle. Pros: - For the price there were few other products that offered the same features. ARC + NFC + Bluetooth - Tucks in neatly under my TV and is clean - Easy to use and the front display in non-intrusive. Has a dimming mode to prevent the display on the sound stand distracting you away from the TV. Lets you know which mode it is in unlike many other products which have no visual display leaving you unsure of whether the changes you intended have been executed or not. Cons: - The sound quality is not impressive at all in comparison to other products but is a great improvement over the inbuilt TV speakers which of course it ought to be. - Poor bass and reproduction of low frequency sound - Not responsive - Takes a while for the system to respond to any keystroke on the remote. This can be an irritant at times. - Comes only in black for US. Can be a bit of an eyesore if your decor is white. (My wife insisted that I include that :-) ) Silver option is offered in other countries, which might go well with TVs which have a brushed metal finish and lighter tone furniture. - Bland design: Is a perfect cuboid with no character whatsoever. Very functional.

for all this product is worth, it seems to me it could have been incorporated into the monitor unit. it definitely does not replace a home theater setup.

This speaker works very well with the Panasonic TV I have in my bedroom. My wife was having difficulty hearing dialogue. This speaker is a big upgrade over the TV speakers. Very easy to set up. Sounds great. I really like Panasonic products.

If you're looking for super high-end room-filling sound then you this isn't for you. If you don't want to mess with setting up multiple speakers + subwoofer and just want the simplest upgrade over the thin, wimpy speakers that are built into 99% of all flat-screen TVs, then this is a solution. My mom was having a hard time making out dialogue coming out of her Panasonic TC-L42E50 so we tried setting up a spare Vizio home theater system to her TV -- but you know old folks -- the one extra remote and all the extra wires were just too much for her. This was the perfect solution since it can go directly under the TV and VIERALink automatically turns it on and off with the TV. No need to ever touch the small remote that comes with it unless you want to tweak the settings. Of course, the sound isn't nearly as impressive as a 5.1-channel home theater system, but the set up is waaaaaaaaaay simpler and wasn't overkill for our needs.

Added this sound board to my DIRECT TV SAT RCVR and my SONY 24" TV. I couldn't be happier. A lot of folks are expecting too much from an under ($) sound system. If you are realistic about what to expect from this sound board, you will be thrilled like I am. Much better bass and overall fidelity. And, plenty of optional controls. The Sony speakers were better than most small TV speakers but still not good enough for my wife and I. We're happy now.

I hooked this up to my Viera-capable TV and got them "talking to each other". The audio needed just a bit of tweaking at the outset, but has been flawless since. My wife thought that this was just a wasted purchase until she heard it. Now, we shut it off occasionally just to remind ourselves of what we were missing before we got it.

If you are looking for warm sound with some bass, don't bother with this system. It's almost like having a reception area PA system in your room; just noise, no thump.
