Harry s : I am getting L42e3 panasonic Tv in a few days. Does it have a built-in wifi or it needs an external plug-in trans/receiver?THOMAS O : great tv, I love it, but it has ports that yhou have to plug in stuff. You'll like it, good sound and goot picture.BERNARD F : noMIKE L : It requires a plug-in. I haven't had much luck getting it to work though. I bought a Netgear unit at Walmart ($50) and it would work for awhile then I would get a message saying it couldn't connect even though my laptop in the same room worked fine. I went back to using my Wii for the Wifi connection into the TV and it worked fine. I returned the Netgear plug-in and went to Best Buy to get the recommended Panasonic plug-in, but it gave the same results. I ended up moving my router to the backside of the TV and using the LAN connection.DOREEN T : it needs an external adapter which I purchased directly from Panasonic for about $40
