Shopper : does it get a bright picture GT50 ?. yes.JEFFREY A : The picture is amazing. It is bright & CRYSTAL clear. 3D is amazing once you set up the proper settings.TERESA M : The picture is bright and absolutely beautiful. It's recommended for the first 100 hrs. that you should view in the standard setting which is great. However, after a 100 hrs of use you can use the vivid setting which gives the best and brighest picture. In the vivid setting this tv gives the best picture I've seen on a plasma.DAVID C : As bright as you would want, in my opinion, unless your viewing area has a very high level of ambient light. I'm not a big LED fan, as many of them look unrealistically bright. I have two Panny plasmas and the realism is great, and isnt phony-bright. But it's plenty bright to enjoy it under most conditions....great picture.JEFF C : Brightness is subjective to the user and your perception of brightness depends on the characteristics of the viewing room.....but with all that said, I recently purchased a Panasonic 50 inch Class VIERA ST30 Series Full HD 3D Plasma HDTV and placed it in a 25 X 27 foot room that has shaded rows of windows on two sides. I couldn't be happier with the purchase. No glare and plenty bright from any spot in the room and the adjoining kitchen.

Custom Setting Need for Brightness
Panasonic HDTV needs to be set on Customer mode with 100% Contrast and 60% Black/White to get the dark images to show. Works fine.
