Basically, I use it for entertainment purposes. It seems to work great with my Panasonic HDTV. My three-year old grand-daughter toddler has shown obvious amazement at its sound output. It is the latest addition to my Panasonic HDTV,cameras, and VCR.

My Panasonic TV in my bedroom was oft-times too soft in loudness, even at full 100. Thus, I bought this product, figuring that it would take care of that issue plus be compatible. Assembly was fairly intuitive, they even had thought ahead to have some channels (indents in the back of the speakers) for the wires, but forgetting about having an indent where the two speaker pieces meet (horizontal option that I chose because...). I didn't have space on the side of my TV, the other option they had pictured, thus I assembled it to put below it...surprise, even though a Panasonic speaker, even without installing the feet, it blocked the Panasonic TV remote unless one wanted to hold their TV remote 2/3rds of the way to the ceiling and point it down all of the time! Then, I realized my solution, for an ample amount of wiring was provided with each speaker, allowing me to extend one speaker forward - closer to me - and another further to the right of the TV, elevated, thus separated and vertical. This option hadn't occurred to me from their pictures. All hooked up except the optical digital connection, but it didn't work. I posted a question about this here, but no response. The wireless sub-woofer, no light whatsoever. I tried several different electrical plugs. Nothing. I eventually tracked down a spare o/d cable and plugged it in. Not long after, for some reason, the sound came on, but I can't say the two things were related (plugging in an o/d cable and the system working). No light on the sub-woofer still, but soon I realized that I had it backwards, which their picture didn't make obvious (plug in is in back). Now, I have it working, but they can hear it upstairs in my house if I'm not careful, especially with the echo (a "feature" which seems unnecessary to me), thus I have to be careful when/how to use it, and I have to learn how to use it for "just the basics." The remote is tiny, like the size of a playing card, which makes me very nervous about losing it, so I got a box for all of my remotes and make a point of returning all remotes there. I am still unsure about how to best use the buttons, and their instructions are lacking. On this point, I have to give this aspect an incomplete. Summary: it improves volume for a TV that should've had better volume to begin with, the overall sound quality is improved, and it's good for a 250 square foot room. Being the same brand didn't make a difference, but should have. Their design is very good, but could've been even better. Lastly, having a small remote and a learning curve for using it the best for just the basics are my concerns.

Bought for small entertainment room connected to kitchen. Hooked up to 50 Panasonic plasma and was instantly satisfied with purchase. It is loud enough to drown out any noise from kitchen and nearby laundry room but still clear.

Looks and sounds great, easy setup with 2 optical inputs. No HDMI, lcd screen or Viera link. Inputs selections done by colored led lights on amp unit. Music on Android phone plays nicely through Bluetooth connectivity. If you have a large living room, I would suggest a 5.1 surround sound system.

The only dislike is having to use two remotes. The system sounds great and takes up little space in the room.

The Panasonic SC-HTB350 Home Theater System Sound Bar with Subwoofer delivers 240 W of room-filling audio from a sleek minimalist form factor. The uniquely constructed sound bar can be mounted on a tabletop or wall under your TV or broken down into a left and right speaker system that can be wall or stand mounted. The subwoofer offers similar flexibility in positioning, thanks to wireless technology. Another convenient feature is Sony's Clear-mode Dialog with Dialog Level Control. This function allows you to boost the voice channel to balance it with programming with high background noise such as action movies. Last but not least, Bluetooth wireless technology allows you to stream music stored on your PC or smartphone to your SC-HTB350.
