There is a trick: if the setting make the image of your room too dark you will need to open the camera from your computer and make the adjustment manually -even if the Panasonic manual tells you not to do so. This a risk I decided to take and it will not necessarily will work for everybody. If you do not like it then simply return and get your refund. Best of luckDAVID L : It worked flawlessly with my Panasonic TV. If the tv has skype as an application in the internet menu than I would imagine it will work for you too. The camera resolution and sound quality are really great. I use it when I am on the road to video conference with my family. From the laptop side, I can see my whole living room and everyone is in the frame, including the dog. I can hear them all very clearly and they can see and here me too. I would recommend it definitely. You can setup an independent skype account, just for the TV, and then you don't get bothered with skype messages all day long from your regular skype account. Another neat feature, is with a skype account that is dedicated to the TV, you can see whenever someone turns on the TV, because the skype account comes online... It is also one of only TWO cameras that work with the Panasonics anyway...So its not like you have a lot of options... Good Luck.JACEK K : To tell you the truth Yes it will. But to be sure if you have USB ports next to your hdmi inputs and your tv supports skype and when you go where your internet content is located look for internet store on your television. If any different camera is supported it will be in the Panasonic tv store. Access the store by pressing internet on your remote. Then select smart viera market. Then you wil see lots of apps and on the left side you will see a list. Scroll down till you see shopping. Hit ok on your remote. Then locate camera section. Hope that helps.

THOMAS W : Is this compatable with a Panasonic TC-P60GT30 tv?JACEK K : The way I found out which camera was compatible with my tv is by logging into the viera store on the actual tv where you can purchase and install apps. There if you Look on the bottom should be options for keyboards and other electronics such a point and shoot cameras. There you will find the model number and or which camera to use for Skype. I recommend addorama I bought the camera here almost half price.

Once you get past the diminutive size of the box/ packaging in which the camera is encased/shipped(and then the same diminutiveness of the actual camera itself [good things really can come in small sizes]), you're in for a pleasant surprise! I like to Skype family and friends around the globe. We ordered this camera (at a terrific pre-Christmas price). The description given by Adorama in their advertisement was spot-on——it really is as easy to operate as they make it sound. Plug-n-play was all there was to it. And according to a family member in South Korea and a friend in Texas, the picture and sound quality for a 720-p camera cannot be surpassed. So go ahead and order this camera for your Panasonic Viera HDTV——you'll be glad you did.

The Panasonic TY-CC20W Skype camera is designed to integrate with VIERA HDTVs and it manages to be more compact, better looking and capable of producing a higher-quality image than its previous generation.

Installation is as simple as plugging it into a high-speed USB 2.0 port on your VIERA HDTV, affixing it magnetically to the top of your set and logging into your Skype account. An integrated hinge allows you to fine-tune the angle of the camera and four unidirectional microphones work together to deliver clear sound to the people with whom you're communicating. The previous generation of this camera was only capable of recording 22 frames per second in HD, but the new TY-CC20W is capable of 30. The lens has also been upgraded to provide better picture quality.

The new TY-CC20W has a more refined, sleek look, which will blend in better with your entertainment system. It's nearly half as tall as before and a good bit narrower. The styling and integration are seamless with VIERA HDTVs and it will look like this camera came from the factory installed on top of your TV.
