The Panasonic VDR-D210 comes equipped with a feature known as the O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer) that minimizes hand-shake which can be quite a problem for handheld shots. With O.I.S. and MEGA O.I.S., the camcorder is equipped for clear, beautiful shooting of both motion and still pictures. The 32x zoom of the camcorder can fill the screen even with a distant subject. This camcorder has a Pure Color Engine that converts the CCD output signal from a complementary color signal into an RGB signal.

The high-quality MPEG2 engine in the camcorder produces smooth, beautiful motion pictures. The MPEG2 engine also uses Variable Bit Rate technology that Panasonic developed for the high-end DIGA DVD recorder. The VDR-D210 features a wide 2.7-inch LCD, making it easier to frame shots when you're shooting in 16:9 mode. This DVD camcorder model can record and play DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R DL (Double Layer), and DVD-R discs.

The One-touch navigation and joystick makes the camera much easier to use, letting you control all basic operations with one hand. The unique Help mode in this camcorder makes it easier to learn the icons, so that you spend less time reading the operating manual. The Edit feature allows you to delete scenes right on the spot or change the scene sequence to create your own scenarios.

The instant On/Off feature reduces the time required for operating the camera. When you open the LCD, the power turns on; shut it and the power turns off. Turn on the built-in LED video light to take crisp, colorful movies, when illumination is insufficient. The VDR-D210 also features MagicPix for shooting in dim lights. The MagicPix gives you smoothly flowing pictures even in dark places where it's normally difficult to capture good shots.
