Panasonic's i-Pro outdoor full HD PTZ network camera is a weather resistant dome network pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) camera that combines full-frame 1,920 x 1,280 H.264 images, Mega Super Dynamic image processing and 36x optical zoom. Suitable for high end applications such as airports, transportation, border patrol and correctional facilities, this dome camera provides 1080p Full High Definition (HD) images (1980x1080 pixels) at 30 frames per second (fps) in addition to features such as advanced auto-tracking, smooth PTZ control with 360 degree endless panning, ClearSight coating and face detection with Super Dynamic technology.

High Reliability and Smooth Pan/Tilt Mechanism
360deg. Endless Panning and Tilting between -15deg. and 195deg. is available, thanks to the high-performance Pan/Tilt Mechanism. Wide Range Monitoring can be performed only with a Single Camera. The Panning/Tilting Speed is widely adjustable between 0.065deg./sec and 120deg./sec, when controlling it manually. The Auto Pan Function allows operation with the Camera (Lens Direction) rotating horizontally when needed.

Preset Position
A desired Camera direction can be registered as a Preset Position, the Camera will move to this position, only by clicking the corresponding Preset Button. Up to 256 Preset Positions can be registered.

Preset Position Map-Shot
Thumbnail images representing 8 Preset Positions can be displayed on another window. By clicking a thumbnail image, live image from the corresponding Preset Position will be displayed.

360deg. Map-Shot
The Camera rotates 45deg. horizontally 8 times and 8 thumbnail images will be displayed on another window. By clicking a thumbnail image, the Camera will move to a position, corresponding to the selected lens direction and live image from that direction will be displayed.

Auto Eye Lid Mechanism (AEM)
When direction of the lens moves above the horizontal, a doubled image may occur when using a general Camera. Their unique technology is featured in the WV-SW598 and reduces doubled images, offering images more natural and easy to watch.

30x Optical Zoom, 90x Ex Optical Zoom
he 30x Optical Zoom Lens offers enlarged image display, without deterioration of high image quality. In addition, the Ex Optical Zoom function offers up to 60x Optical Zoom and up to 1080x Optical Zoom which is available when using together with the Digital Zoom.

Advanced Auto Tracking
The Auto Tracking Function is available when simultaneously using panning, tilting and zooming functions. When a motion is detected in a registered monitoring area, the Camera will track the motion (object) and capture it. Tracking, using 2 Cameras or more is also available.

High Resolution (1080p Full HD Images up to 30fps)
The WV-SW598 is equipped with a 2.4 megapixel high sensitivity MOS Sensor, creating high resolution 2.4 megapixel JPEG (1920 x 1080) and Panasonic high profile H.264 compression Full HD (1920 x 1080) 30fps images to meet a wide range of surveillance requirements. JPEG/H.264 multiple streaming transmission is also supported. A minimum illumination of 0.5 lux allows color images even in minimal lighting. The Electronic Sensitivity Enhancement and Day/Night features enhance this capability even further to 0.03 lux (Color)/0.004 lux (BW) when filming in the dark, making these Cameras ideal for 24-hour surveillance.

High Sensitivity with Day/Night Function (IR)
The WV-SW598 combines high sensitivity design and electronic sensitivity enhancement functions, enabling it to capture color images even when the lighting is dim. If the situation is too dark, the Day/Night Switching feature automatically switches the Camera from color to black & white, perfect for 24-hour surveillance.

Face Detection with Super Dynamic Technology
The Mega Super Dynamic function corrects illumination difference in images, making it easier to see objects in more natural conditions when monitoring and recording. It also detects human faces and makes them easy to identify.

Fog and Smoke Reduction
Improved visibility of images in fog or smoke, using the Fog / Smoke Reduction function.

2-Area VIQS (Variable Image Quality on Specified Area)
The data volume of the overall video can be reduced by filming sections with movement that need to be monitored in high definition, while filming unchanging sections in low resolution. Two areas (total of up to 40% of the overall image) can be indicated as high-resolution monitoring sections.

Combination of Enhanced UniPhier and VIQS function
Data volume can be reduced by a total of 50% by using Enhanced UniPhier (up to 30%) and 2-Area VIQS (up to 20%). Reducing the data volume decreases the load on the network. It also uses less space on the disc in the Recorder, meaning that more images can be stored on a disc of the same size with the same image settings.

Various Transmission Modes
Select from four modes to suit conditions such as the image being filmed in the monitoring environment. This allows for optimal performance for image quality, movement, network load reduction, recording space and more. In addition to "Constant Bitrate" which provides the best picture quality, "Frame Rate" provides the best capturing of objects and movement and "Best Effort" changes the settings according to network conditions. A new function "Advanced VBR (Variable Bitrate)" has also been added. The Advanced VBR secures recording space on the Recorder, while maintaining a constant image quality and can even film complex scenes without decreasing image quality.

32 Areas Privacy Zone Masking
sections within the capture area that you do not want to capture or that must not be captured, can be masked. The mask is applied to the Camera so that the masked area does not appear on the monitoring screen and is also not recorded in the data stored on the Recorder. Up to 32 Privacy Zones can be set.

SDXC Memory Card Edge Recording
An SD Memory Card can be installed in the Camera to record images. The Camera can be set to record images to the SD Memory Card if a network problem causes a loss of communication between the Camera and Recorder or when an alarm is detected.

Smartphone, Tablet PC Monitoring
Monitoring can even be done from Smartphones or Tablet Computers. The image is optimized to suit the screen. This makes it possible to monitor an area, even while away or in transit.

Functions of Motion Detection, Sound Detection and Alarm Detection
It is possible to make the Camera take the following actions when a motion or sound is detected in an area registered on the monitoring window or detected by a sensor connected to the external interface.

• Display the [Alarm Occurrence Indication] button on the "Live" page
• Notifications of alarm occurrences to the device connected to the alarm output connector
• Save images on the SD Memory Card
• Automatically send images to an ftp server
• Notifications of detections to the administrator by e-mail
• Notifications of alarm occurrences to the designated IP addresses (Panasonic Alarm Protocol Notification)

Wide Ambient Operate Temperature
Installation in various places is possible, since a wide ambient temperature is supported. The integrated structure, including the sun shield structure and the heater for cold weather regions (activates when the internal temperature becomes below 10deg.C), allows use in a variety of locations where the ambient temperature range is between -50deg.C and 55deg.C (when using a PoE Injector). Even when installed in a severe environment, a stable Camera operation is provided.

Vandal Resistant Mechanism
Extremely shock-proof, will not break even under strong impact. Compliant with 20J (IEC 60068-2-75) / IK10(IEC 62262).
