since Polaroid has stopped making it, my review doesn't count for much. I would like to see some enterprising company pick it up, it's a unique product for a growing niche market...alternative process photographers

I am using type 55 with a Speed Graphic and I am really happy with the results. With a calibrated rangefinder and a well timed shutter, its like using an oversized 35mm... a REALLY oversized 35. Just leave the holder in the camera and dont process the images until your done shooting for the day. (you can cheat and pull a few to make sure that the "sunny 16" hasnt changed, but you run the risk of ruining a good frame) All in all, I love being able to have the neg for the polaroid that everyone loves.

Great negative,I have enlarged to 16X20 no grain. Less weight to carry 1 box of film and 1 holder. Cons,Slow speed iso50, cost.

55 Film is an extremely high-resolution positive/negative film for finely detailed black & white prints (and negatives). It is medium-speed, medium-contrast, and produces a useable negative for printing and enlarging.
