You can enhance your outdoor adventures with the Peak Design Hip Belt, specifically designed for the 25L and 45L Outdoor Backpacks. This versatile hip belt is identical to the one included with the Outdoor Backpack 45L, offering you the option to replace an existing belt or add hip belt functionality to your 25L backpack. Engineered for comfort and convenience, the belt features padded support to help stabilize your pack and alleviate shoulder strain. The right side of the belt includes a practical mesh zip pocket, perfect for storing small essentials, while the left side boasts a stretchy slip pocket and an attachment point for the Capture Clip (sold separately), providing easy access to your camera gear. The hip belt is designed for quick attachment and detachment, utilizing keyhole attachment points located behind the back pad of both the 45L and 25L Outdoor Backpacks. With multiple keyhole attachment points and widely adjustable webbing, this hip belt accommodates a wide range of waist sizes, from 24 inches to 52 inches (61cm to 132cm), ensuring a comfortable fit for all users. I got these hip straps to go with the 25L Outdoor bag. They are not easy to install and are too wide on my frame to be comfortable. Perhaps they were designed only with men in mind. I would not recommend them.

Bad Fit

It´s almost a must for long hikes, even with the 25L backpack.
The best and the worst: the locking system is fast and well desing but sometimes (not while hiking) it gets desatached.

Usefull and confortable

Heads up that if you break the relatively fragile plastic buckle on this hip belt, PD does not sell a replacement buckle. Further, they've used 1.25" (32mm) webbing, and the internet suggests that most standard after-market field repair buckles are too small or too big (1", or 1.5" and larger). As such, when I reached out the PD about repairing my broken buckle, their response was to purchase an entire new hip belt. Strictly speaking this isn't entirely true because that buckle isn't sewn in, you just won't be able to find a replacement buckle that perfectly fits the proprietary-sized webbing. Here is the text of that email from PD support:
