Outdoor hip belt get loose too easily, no good!
I'm a great fan of peak Design products. I have dozen of it... But the hip belt... Very disappointing. I snapped it like it says in their presentation video. It has lasted exactly 3h25 min on the first day before the right side detached from my outdoor backpack 25L and got lost I don't know where. And during that 3h25 when not using the hip belt, both side already detached few times. The latch is really weak... I really preferred the hip belt system they used on the everyday backpack for example. Too bad this is not a success... But hopefully most of your products are!

I got these hip straps to go with the 25L Outdoor bag. They are not easy to install and are too wide on my frame to be comfortable. Perhaps they were designed only with men in mind. I would not recommend them.

Usefull and confortable
It´s almost a must for long hikes, even with the 25L backpack.
The best and the worst: the locking system is fast and well desing but sometimes (not while hiking) it gets desatached.

Broken buckle requires replacing entire hip belt.
Heads up that if you break the relatively fragile plastic buckle on this hip belt, PD does not sell a replacement buckle. Further, they've used 1.25" (32mm) webbing, and the internet suggests that most standard after-market field repair buckles are too small or too big (1", or 1.5" and larger). As such, when I reached out the PD about repairing my broken buckle, their response was to purchase an entire new hip belt. Strictly speaking this isn't entirely true because that buckle isn't sewn in, you just won't be able to find a replacement buckle that perfectly fits the proprietary-sized webbing. Here is the text of that email from PD support:
