Instant Winner!

I've used the 15L EDB every day for years. I love it. But I always wished it was a little larger. I didn't know about the 20L until I met someone with it. The 15L is great, but it could get a little uncomfortable when full. I think others have made the point that it's great. But an added detail; it can fit comfortably under an airline seat. Even Delta's smallest regional jet, CRJ-700. Easily a fantastic purchase.

little giant

It's compact yet has plenty of storage space, and I use it often. I find it very useful.

The last backpack you will buy!!

I am someone who travels quite a bit and when I do I like to bring with me my small vlog camera, my laptop, running shoes and more.. and I am also someone who appreciates good design and likes to use bags which look slick and can be worn with good outfits... I have bought many bags over the years and and bought quite a variety of them. Overall none of the backpacks I bought before checked all the boxes: Sleak and super cool design, storage, functionality. This is the first backpack which finally made me leave all the previous in my storage room. I love the design, I love the functionality offered by the different pockets and access to different compartments and it offers the ideal space to fit my 16" MacBook Pro, camera, Adidas evo SL running shoes and more!! And if I wish to walk around places I don't feel awkward having a packpack which looks mid to be honest. This one looks cool and fits in a variety of different situations and environments! Overall 11/10 buy!

I wanted to love it. Too heavy

High quality but Heavy! Shoulder straps are uncomfortable and need more softness and cushioning. Love the color and it maintains its structure?but it's a commitment to carry it for a long while.

The ultimate compact backpack

I recently bought the Peak Design Everyday Backpack 15L and it is absolutely excellent. It is easily the best compact backpack I've ever owned. Pros: Build Quality: The recycled 400D nylon fabric feels indestructible and completely weatherproof. The zippers are incredibly smooth and durable. Organization: The FlexFold origami-style dividers are a game-changer. They let me customize the interior perfectly so my gear never shifts around. Accessibility: The dual side-access zippers are brilliant. I can grab my laptop or water bottle in seconds without taking the backpack completely off. Aesthetics: It looks sleek, professional, and doesn't look bulky even when fully packed. Verdict: It is a premium investment, but it is worth every penny for the comfort, style, and protection it offers. Highly recommended!

10/10 would buy again

Phenomenally designed and versatile. Love the modular sectioning provided by the Velcro 'shelves'. Exactly what I needed out of an everyday bag

The good and bad are both true

I agree with all of the negative comments I've read about this bad and still love it, here's why: Zippers bust open: this happened to me the first day I used it and I was ready to return it. I ran the zipper back and forth and it healed itself easily. I forced a split on purpose 3 more times and 3 times it healed itself. I often have issues with getting it to self heal with ykk zips. Is it a failure? Yes, but if it is easier to fix than the better brand it might be an accidental feature. Time will tell. The bag is floppy: true, but I have a similarly sized lowepro that is not floppy and I can fit literally more than twice the gear in roughly the same amount of space. There isn't enough padding: The exterior padding doesn't get many complaints the main thing I've seen is that the dividers are both hard and weak, especially the oragami function. Also true, they are weirdly hard and the little flappy doodles are floppy. For me, though, when I use the dividers I use them as structural dividers and pad things individually anywaym Even in a bag with traditional dividers there isnt enough padding the items can jostle around and that movement is bad for everything. So I already have extra padding in my mind as a necessity no matter if its a pelican hard case's padded dividers (spoiler i only use custom foam no dividers as again, flop is an issue) or a backpack. I even had similar orange colored dividers already. Uncomfortable shoulder straps: ...sssort of true. If you hike then chances are you know how to pack a bag properly. The problem is that in camera use case people don't always pack to carry they pack to work. So while the heaviest gear should go by the lower back some put the heaviest gear at the top so its easier access. This throws everything off and makes it uncomfortable. If the bag's weight distribution is proper then the straps are surprisingly comfortable. (obviously some body types will struggle no matter what. I'm like "extra medium" so pretty good example of the average. Since the pivots are so close together i imagine wider framed people will suffer more. I have seen this complaint live in person with a few different body types and in every case their bags were packed like someone who has never packed a bag. Overhyped: yes, a bag will not make you popular. it is not a conversation piece. it will not solve all your problems. Every piece of kit has trade offs. Nothing is perfect. Buying the bag everyone else is excited about will not make you like the people that are excited about it. After the purchase you will still not become less depressed. The hole in your soul will not be filled by this bag or anything else you buy. Buy therapy to get the tools you need to repair the hole yourself. What good things are true? Durable Water resistance is a little better than what they claim and it protects way better than lowepro or even other bag companies i own not for photography like tumi, osprey and even tactical bags I tried for a bit. Modularity and customization: it's true! the dividers don't need to be positions the way they came from the factory! move things around! capacity! it's bigger on the inside comfort easy access! I don't actually follow the usual side access philosphy as intended i just open the bag clamshell style and access everything all at once. The bag opening up completely makes lens changes outs etc easier as you instantly have a clean work-mat anesthetics: the zip specifically looks streamlined and sophisticated but because it lacks the recognizeable hood latch people dont know that its a peak design bag and thus don't immediately assume $10k in camera gear strapped to your back. I have the red color and surprisingly it makes it less noticeable since that grey fabric is more associated with peak design. security: let's be real- if someone wants your bag or what's inside it bad enough- they're going to get it. There's no bag feature that can stop it. If, on the other hand, someone is sneakily trying to open your bag and grab something while you're distracted, the little connectable loops present a hurdle that makes stealth more difficult. That hurdle kind of acts like a security system sticker on your window. From a theifs perspective there's a good chance you either dont have a security system or stopped paying the monthly fee and it doesn't do anything... but since that chance isn't a guarantee, it's not worth the risk. Same for the interlocking loops. Sound: there's a lot less "brrrrrrrrrit" sound with these zippers. I was at an event documenting a training. It finished and everyone was packing up. I packed up as well. Everyone is almost to the door when someone asked a question that piqued everyone's interest. The educator walked over to them and had a very candid chat with the group. I slowly unzipped my bag, accessed my camera and managed to get photos of this beautiful archetypal moment of a teacher being a true mentor that cares about knowledge... the fact that the bag made less knows felt like it helped to not break the flow of the conversation amd the photos ended up being the best of the entire event. Bright interior. I didnt think this mattered when i read the desription but wow is it helpful, especially the bright orange. I only want bright orange for interiors now. versatility: this one kind of depends on you having additional gear like more padded dividers, hook and loop pouches etc but it definitely can serve a lot of different roles.

Great but heavy

I like almost everything about this backpack except its weight. In my opinion, it's a little too heavy for everyday carry.

Horrible customer service

Peak Design customer service is actually the worst. When Im paying a solid price for what I hope is a quality item I expect to also receive quality customer service. Spend your money elsewhere unless you want to deal with snarky emails if any issues arise.

Fantastic little bag, just not green.

Excellent. This bag ticked every box, i was alittle concerned about the size but it proved perfect for my uses, not too big and made me carefully think about what i required. Very comfortable to use, my old bag with less equipment gave me back ache after a short period, this was really comfortable for most of the day. I would by again.

Great Backpack for Travel

I bought this as a travel backpack that can be a daily driver with a separate carry-on for pretty much any trip. So far, this has lived up to my expectations, I love the zipper system as well as the "shelving" system to keep things organized and even protected in their own little "cubby". It is nice that the backpack is firm and keeps its shape, even while empty. I do really wish it had the magnetic strap holders to keep the straps tight when on top of a rolling carry-on.

Best everyday Backpack, Period.

I've been using this backpack for almost a decade, and it's still in very good condition. Its simple, timeless design is incredibly easy to use. I've used it to carry both photography and videography equipment, and it can securely hold an enormous amount of gear. Despite dropping it several times, nothing has broken inside thanks to its eggshell-like design.

Favorite Beautiful Incredibly Designed Tech Pouch

I finally picked this up in Bone, and I can't remember the last time I was this excited about a product. The color is beautiful and perfectly matches my Bone Peak Design Everyday Backpack, which has already been an amazing travel companion for my camera, accessories, and a few extras. With the Tech Pouch, all my cables, power banks, and chargers are now neatly organized and incredibly easy to access. It also has enough padding and space to safely store my mouse and number pad without worrying about damage. This has very quickly become one of my favorite purchases.

Great weekender

?If you're looking for a streamlined daily driver, this is it. The 15L size is the sweet spot for a "light" setup. I can fit my camera, a drink, and my stuff for the day very well with ease. The internal organization is top-notch, and the zip access is super smooth. Also, the blue color is absolutely gorgeous and my better want to steal it from me.

Great but could be improved by little detail

I bought this 3 years ago, and am overall extremely happy with it. I use it to transport my laptop and accessories and all other stuff to/from work (walking some distance). Only downside are the adjustable straps, they doesn't grip enough and instead slips. Both on shoulder straps and over-chest strap. After a while it means that the backpack is far down my back, too far for my liking.

Bag with design flaw

The bag is good quality and well designed to be functional. However, I returned it because the bag has one major flaw. The giant metal pocket zipper on inner side of the flaps is rubbing against the glass on the camera lens and other side is rubbing against my camera LCD when I put my camera with lens mounted in the middle compartment. Even if it's just a lens without camera, it's rubbing against the glass of my lens. They should have used all magnetic clasps like the upper pockets. The exposed metal zipper is a major design flaw and shouldn't be there especially for carrying camera gear.

Great for an EDC bag, even with no camera!

I purchased this to be my new EDC as other bags typically only have a larger center compartment. Gone are the days of carrying documents and books for me. This allows me to rearrange the inside to fit the items normally in my bag without having weight distributed funny and everything shifting all the time. I also love the number of pockets, the specific laptop/tablet sleeves, and the two water bottles. It takes some getting used to (for the better), but the shoulder straps being on a hinge work better than I thought, too.

Overall I'm a huge fan

I bought this bag after outgrowing the smaller version of this, and I love it. The color (dark blue) is beautiful, and the bag is big enough for my camera and a few lenses, but not so huge that I look like I'm going on a hike. I love the clamshell opening when I need it, and the flexibility of the shelves suites my needs. I appreciate the added straps for carrying extra cargo externally-great to have a place for a jacket or extra tripod when I'm on the job. My only suggestion for the next version would be to make the side pockets larger or more flexible. I can easily fit a small tripod in there, but putting in a bottle of water seems more cumbersome than it should be. Overall, I'm a huge fan.

Such a well thought out piece of gear

This is the most well thought out pack I've ever bought. It was an impulse buy while I was in Malaysia dragging around two separate bags for my carry-on/camera gear - now all my stuff fits into the one and it's SO user friendly on the go. It also kept the contents dry in one of the most significant monsoon storms I've ever been caught in (with a rain cover on) despite the outside of the bag still getting really wet. Highly recommend making the investment!

Excellent, lacking a little internal flexibility

I bought this as a small carry-on which can fit my camera gear. In almost every respect it has been excellent. It is easy to operate, comfortable to wear, and durable. The only minor gripe I have is the included dividers have limited scope for different ways to fit them in the bag. My modest DSLR does fit, but I needed to borrow some dividers from an old generic backpack to better construct the lower part of the interior for the camera with lens. With that done, the upper part of the bag is even more limited as the divider is rigid so cannot accommodate, for example, something half the width of the bag. I was pleased that my 14" MacBook Pro fits in the laptop sleeve, although quite snugly and with some limitation on use of the other pockets in this section. I may end up buying the 20L version to ease the loadout, but I would miss the diminutive overall size of the 15L.

Love this bag!

I've only used this bag 3 times since getting it but so far I love it and it's perfect. I can fit my main camera body, my 35 & 85 prime lenses, and a flash along with extra space on top. This is great, because I can just leave all my extra lights and gear in my giant roller bag to only bring when necessary! I will be using this bag for a lot of things beyond photoshoots and can't wait to use it a bit more and customize my setup.

The best everyday bag!

I bought this in 2019 and literally used it every day to travel the hour commute to the city. It's the perfect day bag. Small enough to fit under your legs on the train, or under the seat in front, flexible enough to carry everything you need for a day in the city, but it's also got such a neat design and unique look. I often had comments on the bag- particularly the easy access side panels, which although designed for people carrying camera gear, are really useful when using this as a day pack. In 2025, I noticed that the waterproof seams along the zips were wearing a little, and contacted Peak Design. Even after 6 years of regular use, they honoured the lifetime warranty and sent me a brand new version 2 of this bag. Rachel in their customer care team could not have been more helpful. This sort of service makes you feel connected to the business, makes you advocate for the brand. I couldn't rate them any higher- it felt like I was an important customer to them, even though I'd bought the bag more than half a decade ago. I've since purchased the travel backpack, packing cubes and, most recently, the Roller Pro all of which have the same incredible build quality and design smarts, and encourage you to invest in this luggage. It's expensive but the quality, service and warranty are world-class.

Elegant, Smartly Designed, but a Bit Tight

I love this backpack-it's elegant, beautifully made, and incredibly well thought out for organization. I'm not a photographer, but I use it daily for work and appreciate the clean layout and smart pocket design. The laptop sleeve fits perfectly, and the multiple compartments make it easy to keep everything organized. My only complaint is that the 20L size can feel a little cramped if you're carrying bulkier items like textbooks or folders; I'd probably go for the 30L next time. It can also be a bit tricky to reach some of the inner pockets, but overall it's a fantastic, well-designed bag.

Great'EDC bag but zip issues

A very nice little EDC bag that I bought a few months ago. Love it for the resistance of it and all the stuff I can carry ! My Fuji and 3 lenses, a 14 inch laptop and 11 ipad (not at the same time though)? only problem are the « durable » zips that are already broken in 2 places ! And it's taking them ages to deal with the problem? THEY HAD ME TEAR OFF THE LOGO, take pictures of it, and they cut me off. I can understand that they had issues before and that they don't trust their customers (i must have like 15 bags and else registered on their website), but I have all the tickets and papers sent over, and still no solved issues. Please make better zips or use WKK ones ! Especially for an all zipped bag that becomes useless without it !

Great! With a small detail

I like this backpack a lot, this is literally my everyday backpack. I like it's quality and flexibility on moving compartments to accommodate several things on it. Only thing I really dislike, is the laptop opening that's way too tight. For being too tight, when I struggle to put my ipad pro with the keyboard case. I know the V2 fixed this, but unfortunately I don't see as a worthy investment just to fix this.

Great backpack

I really love this backpack, the quality, the ingenuity of the design, the versatility, the comfort, etc. It's my go-to bag every time I go out and I trust it to keep my stuff safe and dry. The only thing that bugs me is the size of the side pockets. I could use bigger ones that stretch more to accommodate bigger water bottles or tripods. When the bag is full they become even more useless.

Best All Purpose Bag

I love this bag! I got it on Kickstarter about 10 years ago and it's held up amazingly. Being able to lash blankets and items outside has been extremely helpful. I used it as my go bag when I was active duty, I travel with it all the time, and it's perfect also for lugging all my supplies for grad school.

Love this bag's design!

This bag's design is one of one. If side access is what you're looking for, this is perfect. Not to mention the most modern sleek, looking back on the market. Dispatch has withstand the elements and tortures I've put it through.
