Peak Design 20L Everyday Backpack V2, Midnight

I love how functional and flexible this backpack is. It has tons of convenient pockets and is very well-built. It works great as a photography bag, but also in other contexts like commuting and traveling. After 2+ years of use, I ran into a minor issue where the two magnets that hold the straps in place would move out of their socket; but the bag was very quickly replaced with a new one under warranty (I was surprised since it was really not such a big issue). The only two slight downsides that I see are: - The bag could be lighter when empty - The vertical compartment at the back feels quite tight when placing both a laptop and tablet.

I bought this bag 2 years ago and have not looked back since. The bag is built well for every day use, and features extra straps for carrying additional gear when the compartments are full

This is my 2nd everyday bag. This goes with me every where and I'm extremely rough on my bags. The first bag lasted me nearly 7 years. I cannot recommend their products enough

This bag really can do everything: hiking pack, commuter, backpacking Europe, camera bag, around town bag, diaper bag - and I've done all of those (except the last one, though I've heard friends use it that way). Super extendable, super handy, and the right mix of structure/organization when you want it and 'big dumb bag' when you need it. Can even use the back pocket for a water bladder if you're really going after it. 10/10

I bought the v1 many years ago. After about 4 years of daily use, it still works great. However there is discolouration of the fabric. Submitted a warranty claim and no questions asked, Celine just told me that the v1 is no longer in production and asked me to choose a colour for the v2. Best customer service I have encountered! Thanks again Celine. I love that PD did some tweaks to the v2. The shoulder straps are more comfortable. The adjustable laptop sleeve makes taking out my laptop easier. I love that you can customise the orientation of the bag with the dividers or totally remove them depending on my load. I love "key" attachment at the side of the bag. I love the simplicity of the design (a camera bag that does not look like a camera bag). I also have been using the Sling and the Capture clip. Both are wonderful, but the way. And the anchor is just so perfect! My usual load: D750 with 24-70mm Sigma 70-200mm Sigma 50mm Nikon Go Pro Spare Batteries SD Card iPad Pro 11" or Mac Book Air 15 Sirui Tripod

This bad has been nothing but loyal and dependable, much like Peak Design themselves. I had this backpack for 5 years before a tiny issue arose. I reached out to PD and they sent me a new one. Here's to another 5 years, an hopefully, more.

After oqning the Ash Everyday Backpack v1 for over 9 years, I retired it and switched over to the v2 Midnight backpack. It's build quality remains superb and it's clear that the Peak Design team took it very seriously when they looked to improve upon the original. The pockets, zippers, and magnets allows a versatility unlike any other bag I've used. You can choose how tactical you want the bag to be/appear at any point in time and it perfectly transforms between the sleek commuter and chock full travel partner. I cannot recommend this bag highly enough.

I've had the v1 and v2 of this bag. It's the best bag in the world - I've tried a lot of bags over the years. It's great for travelling, fits easily in the carry on allowance for domestic and international flights. It has fantastic features. V2 increased the number of neat magnetic closures that keep the bag looking neat. The adjustable chest strap is easy to use. Things you don't use every day are hidden - e.g., straps and tie downs. It's expandable. Removable bits to cushion camera gear. Stowage for a laptop plus a tablet. One comment I have for the designers is to improve the shoulder hinge on v3. It's very comfortable, but after some time the hinge points can squeak. Amongst the 100 great features of this bag that's one gripe. The warranty is lifetime, and serious. I'm on the train now, looking at my brand new replacement bag that PD sent me. It's my second v2. If they make a v3 I'll buy it. I also have the Capture Clip and a wrist strap. Everything PD makes is worth your consideration

I've been eyeing this backpack for a while and finally bought one, in coyote. I love all the organizations that this bag offers, tried it for a hike even! I knocked off one star because of two things: 1. The laptop compartment is SO TIGHT! Way too tight, I'm barely able to stick an iPad Pro with keyboard case and nothing else. 2. The side pockets are also SO TIGHT!! I had to struggle to stick an 18-oz water bottle in there.

Bought this backpack several years ago and I have not thoughts of ever changing or getting a new bag. It is 100% worth the investment. The quality and design is unparalleled and nearly an indestructible product. The bag has been through the rain, snow, and the sun for 3 years and still feels like brand new. Great bag! Well thought, very handy features. Used it in extreme conditions like Antarctica and it was a pleasure to have it. Especially when your shooting with multiple camera's and you need to switch a lot. But what's truly the best is the warrenty and customer service. After a year of 6 I got problems with my zipper. Without hesitation the problem got solved and a complete new bag was send. Which even looks better than the first one. Very happy customer over here in The Netherlands!!!

In 2017, I bought my first backpack. It immediately became my favorite, and I've used it daily ever since. Just before Christmas, one of the zippers broke. I reported it, and after a very smooth process and pleasant contact with customer service, a new bag was sent to me within two days, as it was covered by the lifetime warranty. That gives me, especially in these times, a little faith in humanity. :). I'm now using my new backpack daily again, as always.

I purchased the Everyday Backpack 30L Charcoal in 2020. Throughout this time it has been my faithful and safe companion for transporting my photographic equipment (and not only). I work in the Middle East, between Israel and Palestine. I am the official photographer of the Earth Custody. I have found the Peak Design backpack very practical in all circumstances, even when you have to change equipment "on the fly", thanks to the convenient side openings. I would like to add that I have found excellent assistance from Peak Design customer service for the replacement of broken material.
