The film is not as vibrant as the Polaroid page shows, it also takes a while to develop and the final colors to settle on a final rendition. The film is sharp and of high resolution with the SX-70 lens, so this was pleasing. About half of the shots also had defects, a true Polaroid effect, where the developer did not get evenly distributed, even with clean rollers. This is something I expect from old expired film but not fresh. Perhaps a bit more developer is required. The image stays wet for a while and they benefit from a drying process.

Under the banner of Polaroid Originals, the Black & White SX-70 Instant Film, with its 8 exposures, is specifically designed for the iconic Polaroid SX-70 cameras. This film is characterized by a lower film speed (ASA), which results in photographs with a richer texture and finer grain, making it a favorite among artists, professionals, and photography enthusiasts.
This black and white SX-70 film is not just a film; it's a time capsule that captures moments in a classic, timeless, and vintage style. It's perfect for those seeking to achieve a unique aesthetic in their photographs, with its distinctive Polaroid square format and white frame finish.
The magic of this film lies in its instant development process. Released in 1972, it was the first film that developed right before your eyes, a process that continues to fascinate even today. Just press the shutter button and witness one of the world's most complex chemical processes bring your moment to life within 15 minutes.
Another unique feature of this film pack is the built-in battery. Since vintage cameras like the SX-70 don't have rechargeable batteries, Polaroid Originals has thoughtfully included one in every film pack.
Finally, this film is made with pride in Enschede, the Netherlands, home to the last Polaroid film factory in the world. This Black & White SX-70 Instant Film is not just a product; it's a testament to the enduring legacy of Polaroid and the art of photography.
