I had a car mount bought on AMZN for few euros where you had to clamp phone in order to get it stable, then I decided to pull the trigger on this one since I found a used phone case for cheap: I have to admit it's just amazing how your phone will be totally stable in car without any hassle and you will be able to easily take it with you without pushing any buttons or whatever you need to do to free device from any other car mount. Another great feature: you can mount phone both vertically and horizontally without changing anything on your setup. Totally worth every penny.

Okay so maybe I'm biased but every single Peak Design product I have ever bought is outstanding - use, durability, innovation, style - and this one is no exception. It suggested some instructions for installation but TBH the design is so brilliant that it was easy enough to figure it out in the moment. Another great addition to my magback case system.

I've never like vent mounts as they would always come loose, especially with the weight of an iphone pro max but the Peak Design version has a clever locking system that holds the mount firmly in place. I would recommend for most vents.

I install the vent mount in the small air vent to the left of my steering wheel. The install was easy and quick. A unexpected plus was that I can adjust my iPhone to the best viewing angle. I like the magnet case for my iPhone. It doesn't add any negatives to using my phone.

This ais my first car mount. The vent anchor is too short to properly remove and install easily. The J hook broke on my first one. Peak Design sent out a replacement but it is still really too short for my 2019 Chevrolet 3500 pickup vents and the vents on my friends 2023 Subaru Crosstrek. In fact the Crosstrek has vents that are not really suitable for the vent mounts at all.

Bought this to go with my peak design iPhone case. Mount is super stable, low profile and handles all sorts of terrain the 4wd goes. Rough correlations,wombat holes, you name it. Stats in place and here lads the phone very securely.

I've tried many car mounts before Peak Design made their own Car Vent Mount. But nothing was so satisfying than this one. It took a while until I managed to mount it properly and till I found the perfect angle and position but since then I use it in my car almost every day. The design really fit's into the car like it was already built in. High quality products like expected from Peak Design since day one.

Note that this is attached not just by silicone clips but also by a plastic hook, so unfortunately no so good attachment to my car's slanted vents. Also, not exactly a complaint, the MagSafe attraction is so strong that it seems to be slowly loosening my car's air con vent every time I pry away the phone.

I watched the setup video and they say "we are about to ruin all other vent mounts for you" and they're SO RIGHT! I love this vent mounts so much. As someone who spends a lot of time in my car this was such an amazing purchase! I also have vertical vents and it still works perfectly ?? peak design is just the best at everything they do

This thing is fantastic on my 2015 WRX, the fit is a tad tight as the vent hook has to be fully extended to get it to fit but it's on there good. Most solid vent clip mount I've ever had and my car is not a smooth ride, on bumpy Michigan roads, my phone stays put. 10/10 highly recommend

There is no doubt that the material and workmanship is good. There is a couple of design issues that need to be addressed. First, the extending hook piece, is cleverly designed to reach back to the vent fin. However, for my Tesla X, it just barely reach and get the hook to come over the fin. Second, the tightening rings are all smooth metal so it is hard to really tighten them down using skin/metal friction. The rings should be roughen or ribbed so that the finger can apply more pressure. Especially for the arm that reach sideway, there is a lot of downward pressure due to the weight of the phone. Lastly, on this car, there is very little space for the hook to hang onto. Once mounted, the phone still block the airflow. I know this is a design incompatibility between the car's vent and this type of vent mount. I just hope that the smart mechanical engineers can develop a solution for this car. And finally, it is not a problem yet, but the phone really just hang on with magnetic force and it feels weak (when I take it off). It has not fallen off once, but I really am not sure if it will hold with a sudden brake (or in a collision or accident).

Le systeme se fixe facilement et de manière fiable à l'aérateur central de ma BMW Série 3. Mon Iphone Pro Max tient bien en place. Bref, du tout bon. La qualité de construction est au top (ce qui change des chinoiseries qu'on trouve généralement pour ce type d'article).

I have been using it for a few weeks and I'm pretty happy with it. Well thought out, as with most PD products. It does restrict the vent direction, but I like the adjustment of the arm and it attaches securely without much concern of damaging the vent louvers.

Great vent phone mount! Be mindful no one else messes with it and extends it beyond the recommended length. This makes the mount not stay in place as often and it can come off.

The rotating arm isn't long enough to keep your phone away from the vent. That being said, this is incredibly secure with two mounting points on your vent. The magnet hold for MagSafe phones is incredibly strong, and I haven't felt like the my phone will ever fall off. The rotating arm not being longer is a big deal though, especially when you live in a state that has colder temps 4-5 months out of the year. Getting a warning that your phone is too hot to charge because the heat from the vent is hitting your phone reduces the usefulness of the mount. I absolutely like the holder, but because the issue of still having my phone covering the vent persist I can't say that I love it.

I wanted to love this mount, but it cannot hold the weight of an iPhone 15 Pro Max. Every time you take a corner, your phone goes flying across the car, which is incredibly frustrating, especially considering this is priced as a top-tier mount. It will charge your phone wirelessly and works great if you don't plan on turning while driving.

The Mount is very stable and easy to use with the peak design phone case. The wire clips I received with this were not great and either let go of the wire, didn't stick to the car for long, or separated from the adhesive part leaving the charging wire free to hang. If they could nail the wire clamp/cable management this would be perfect.

I bought two of these, one for each car, after previous vent-mount AND adhesive mount phone holders had all failed to remain attached. The two point mounting system with a unique hook clamp means that the PD vent mount will not fall off. The adjustment arm allows positioning of the phone in a wide range of positions relative to the vent. The only complaint is that the adjustment arm will slip if not adequately tightened, and the knob has a smooth surface that makes it dependent on your grip strength to get it properly tightened and even then in some positions gravity and road vibration will occasionally work it lose, requiring a readjustment and tightening. This is still the best phone mount I have had and I recommend it for any car with compatible vents.

No slip Magsafe - When the phone in its Peak case snaps onto the Peak vent mount, I know it's not going anywhere until I'm ready to remove it. Again, it simply eliminates a potential source of annoyance/stress.

I'm using the car vent mount in tandem with PD's Everyday Case for the iPhone 11. The clamping mechanism itself is solid and secure. However, the magnet that holds the phone is laughably weak. As soon as I turn onto a gravel road, my phone pops right off. At this price point, I was expecting much better.
