My results get worse and worse. So I ran one test on this charger the first day I had it and the test results showed 14 watts on an iPhone 15 Pro Max. This seemed right in line with what you'd expect for this device. Since then I'm lucky to get above 5 watts. This was using a 78 watt max charger that has an output of 9 volts. Next I tried my iPhone 17 Pro Max. Keep in mind this phone is qi2 compatible top to bottom. Same crappy results. Questioning my usb source I decided to try the Peak Design SAE adapter. This allowed me to run it directly to my battery with a fuse. Worst results yet. I came back with 2.6 watts. Literally one tenth of the rated max capacity provided by Peak Design. This is unfortunate. The engineers need to go back to the drawing board on this. There is no way this is QI2 or capable of charging anywhere near the 25 watts that Peak Design says it does.

I've paired this mount with an OFFROAM Air vent ball mounting base in my 07 Tacoma; this is the perfect combo for heads up access to your device that's not going to shake your phone onto the floor when the trail gets rough. The shock isolation is a nice touch.

Works exactly as described. I ran several tests on the charging specs. I'm getting 14.62 watts on the iPhone 15 Pro Max which is why the fun is limited to. That's an Apple Magsafe limitation for this hardware. I believe newer devices will go up to 25 watts. Like all the PD stuff the quality is top notch. I bought this because my wife and I have the PD bike mounts and cases for our phones. The locking feature is a big plus and super easy to do.

I had a charging mount on my Toyota Tacoma and decided to change to to the Ball Mount | Non Charging Locking 1in, to keep it from bouncing off on these rough back roads of Missouri. I own multiple PD products and all have been great.

I purchased this in August. It maintains charge well, but it has the weakest magnet I have ever used for a phone mount. The phone constantly falls off, even when driving on smooth road (U. S. Interstates). I have added a ring to my phone and it will still fall off. Really not worth the money.

I use a phone mount for truck, motorcycle, bicycle, and survey equipment, and mingle with folks who do the same. From my perspective, these devices get graded on ruggedness, ease of operation, security of mounted device, and accessibility of mounted device (buttons, entire screen). I've not beaten or dragged my mount through mud and sand yet to test ruggedness, but in every other category it's the best design I've seen in use, and I've seen all the serious contenders. Purchased to fit the long arm ram mount I have attached to the windshield in my car. Fits the mount well, obviously well made. However - the magnets are not strong enough to hold on to my phone going over bumps and dealing with normal car vibrations. My phone constantly took a dive off the arm and landed in my center console. For reference, an iPhone 13 Pro Max in a Peak Design Everyday case (I also tried it bare metal with just the magsafe on the back of the phone). A $100 disappointment.

I bought one of these charging phone mounts for myself and another for my wife. Both worked great for about a year - solid wireless charging and a secure grip on the phone. But after some time, we started noticing the same issue with both: the charging started to slow down or became unreliable. The mounts still hold the phones just fine, but the charging feature hasn't held up. At this point, I'd recommend just getting the mount for its phone-holding ability and sticking with a regular charging cord. It's still a convenient setup, just don't expect the wireless charging to last beyond a year.

I bought this and no regrets! Build quality: Solid build Ease of Use: Very Easy Just piak and is on. Sturdy and security: Very secure mount once is on is not going anywhere. The vibration dampener that is in build with the mount is a plus! And works better then the main rivals out there.

I've tried a lot of ways to attach my phone/GPS to my bike, and you won't find anything better than the combo of RAM Mount + Peak. So solid and flexible. If you have any concerns about the connection . . . I recently had a wee crash and the ball connection snapped off while the phone and case were still securely locked in (phone and rider are fine, thanks for asking). ??

Bought this because I have used the qi1 non-locking version with multiple Pixel models. The qi1 charges fast, I figured since qi2 is backward compatible it would work. This does not work at all. If I am lucky it charges at 1 watt. I'm disappointed Peak Design does not call out this qi2 charger is not backward compatible. First Peak Design product I am disappointed with.

The phone mount works great and looks nice. Doesn't stand out like other phone mounts and works great. I especially love that the vibration dampener is built into the mount and barely visible.

I got the Locking Qi2 charger 1-inch ball mount to keep my phone secure and charging while off-roading. It's great and charges quickly unless your phone gets too hot in direct sunlight but that isn't the fault of the charger, just physics. My two comments are: 1. The price is a bit high, I think $80-100 would be more reasonable. 2. The release mechanism is tough to release and secure your phone with one hand. You need to press on the top and the bottom behind the phone. If it were a single button instead, I believe I could get it off the mount with one hand.

I've been using a scosche blank magnet pad attached to a RAM mount in my vehicle for the last couple of years. I finally switched to the everyday case and this locking mount, and I wish I'd done it sooner. The locking mechanism is solid and secure but still really quick and easy to remove. Great product. The phone case is robust but still remains sleek, I hope they continue to make products and accessories for it (a different style of wallet would be great!)

This mount is like having your phone on a bobblehead! The "vibration damper" rubber is way too pliable and should be a much higher SHORE number. The phone twists when you unmount it - vibrates excessively when compared to my 67 design phone mount and feels likes its going to shear every time I unlock my phone. I absolutely love the Peak Design Phone mount system - just get rid of that janky rubber isolator...the only thing that it isolates is the consumer.

Phone flew off by motorcycle after a road bump. Seems like a well-made product...but the mounted phone has flown off the bike not once, but 2x over the last year. Both times the phone was a complete loss. Luckily I found the phone each time after searching for several minutes. Street riding. Not off-road. On the BMW GTL 1600 and BMW R9T. I decided not to use the mount any longer. The little square just doesn't work, as both times were different (new) cases.

I use this ball mount in my car and on my motorcycle. I love how easy it is to attach and remove my phone, but once it's locked into position it's not going anywhere until you want to take it off. Very clever design!

Bought it (QI2, locking version) together with the PD Everyday Case for my Pixel 9 Pro, but it only charges Pixel with up to 2-4 watts. I'm now thinking if the Qi1 version would charge it faster and more reliably, but it only comes with a non-locking version, therefore cannot be used on a motorcycle.
