Peak Design Dual Plate

I mount both the Clutch and Leash ( Belt and Suspenders) onto my Nikon D600. I also use a Manfotto Tripod. The Dual Plate allows me to keep the PD straps mounted on the plate while the camera is mounted on the tripod... this is the most practical option that I can find to integrate the fine features of both Peak Design and Manfotto

I have this plate on my sony a7m3, I bought it in the first place because I can clip it on my 'capture camera clip'. I prefer Manfrotto head plates and it fits always. Never have to change to another - but that is more or less a joke, I don't like Arca Swiss, to slow to mount the camera on, in my humble opinion.

I bought this plate and a Manfrotto 234RC monopod head because Peak's compatibility sheet says that the dual plate works on this head. It doesn't. The plate only goes on the head with the camera lens facing to the side of the tripod head, which renders it totally useless because the head pivots forward. Peak's claim that the dual plate is compatible with this head is utter nonsense. Now, I have to return the head and the dual plate and purchase a standard plate and an Arca-Swiss style head. Peak Designs' carelessness has just wasted a lot of my time.

I have this product on all my cameras! I have two tripods and frequently use other studio tripods so having a dual plate that is compatible with Arca Swiss and Manfrotto is crucial! Heartily recommended!

Fits in all my tripods which is great. Just wish the anchors wouldnt occassionally make it difficult to align the plate on the tripod since its on the side corners. But thats a pretty minor gripe.

Amazingly, this is much easier to use on my Manfrotto tripod than the original Manfrotto plate, which was stiff. This must be fractionally smaller (but still totally solid) which makes using it a breeze.

I received a Capture Clip as a Christmas gift. Worked great as a camera-carry device, but all of my tripods, monopods and my gimbal use Manfrotto RC2. This somewhat eliminates the advantage of the quick release plate for the capture clip. As a way around this, I ordered the Dual Plate. This enabled me to fasten my camera to the Capture Clip, my tripods with the RC2 mount and even a small Manfrotto tripod I have that uses Arca-Swiss. Happy with the quality and functionality of the product? Absolutely - it works perfectly. Happy with the cost of the product? Nope. Paying $51.18 including taxes and shipping for a quick release plate is crazy. I obviously had no choice, since it was the only solution to overcome the PD proprietary mount, but it was a painful purchase.

This plate is awesome and is like a leatherman of camera plates, I keep one in my grip bag when assisting because chances are that if someone forgets a camera plate, this one will fit the tripod. Very well build although the paint does wear off around points of contact after a few months, although to be fair I never made any effort to keep it scuff-free or clean of scratches.

I use this to connect my D850 with my PD tripod and smaller tripod with a Manfrotto 494 ball head. Slight wiggle with 494 but still secure

I own several of these Dual Plates. Absolutely the best solution for those who like the option to run both Arca Swiss and Manfrotto style setups. No need for the annoying issue of changing out plates just to change mount systems. Just jump back and forth between either with this piece of equipment. Example: The Dual Plate works perfect when I'm running my Vamguard Arca Swiss window mount and decide to jump out of the truck and set up my Manfrotto pan head set up on a tripod. The Dual Plate allows you to run your favorite option of mount without the added time of having to change out the plate. Great quality and great service! Thanks Peak Design!

The plate is great to fit various tripods with different plate systems, while keeping PD strap on the camera. A great and universal way to use the gear faster, focusing more on getting pictures rather than micromanaging the hardware.

I use this for my 200-600mm lens and I like that it covers more area than the standard plate. Only downside is that it only enters one direction on the capture clip, but that just takes some repositioning to work.

I've been using the Capture for 2-3 years now. The only thing that bothered me was that the standard plate could not be used in combination with my Manfrotto tripod. I recently bought the Dual Plate and this solved my 'problem'. It fits perfectly!

I purchased two of these, one for my Sony lens and another for my Sony camera body. How fabulous to be able to have my Peak Design tripod in one place and another tripod elsewhere and still be able to use my lenses and camera wherever I go. Definitely recommended.

I needed a way to attach my camera to my Manfrotto tripod while still being able to use my Capture Clip V3. This fitted the bill perfectly!! As beautifully constructed as all the other PD gear. Only limitation to be aware of, it only goes into the Capture Clip 2 ways (rather than the 4 ways for the standard plate) but that?s a small price to pay for the ability to use the Capture Clip. Oh, and it works perfectly with my tripod.

I couldn't find the sling of my old analog Mamiya m645 with their own unique connecting points. So I could use this together with the peak design anchor points with my own modern slings. Which is way cheaper than to get a specific vintage sling.

Opens up the possibility to have only plate rolling between tripod, capture clip, and the gimbal with just a click-snap. Just note that you'll need an Arca-swiss plate on the gimbal, which sometimes requires a 10-20 replacement part. But once you've got it setup, it's great.

I bought the Dual Plate and I am so happy I did. I can now use my camera on my trusty tripod, and my Capture clip without the need to fuss with various adaptors. Not only that, I attached a Peak Design Anchor to the Dual Plate giving me even greater flexibility when using my camera.
