ARTHUR A : I have a capture lens Sony mount. Will this clip fit for me to carry my camera. If not is there another model that will?DONALD M : If you camera has a standard 1/4-20 tripod mount screw hole, it should fit.JIM P : Yes, this plate will attach to your camera's base, and then the plate will slide into the Peak Design Capture Clip. HOWEVER, there are now three different capture clips that have been made. The first generation has been gone quite a while now. The Version 2 Capture Clip was discontinued about 3 years ago. This plate is only directly compatible with the latest Version 3 capture clip because it is thinner than the older plates. I have however made this plate work on my old Version2 capture clip by installing a thin washer between the camera base and the capture plate and then attaching the plate to my camera base, thereby raising the plate just enough to give clearance so the plate will slide onto the V2 Capture Clip. WARNING, BE SURE YOU HAVE ENOUGH SCREW LEFT TO FULLY TIGHTEN THE BASE PLATE TO YOUR CAMERA OR THE PLATE COULD COME OFF THE BOTTOM OF YOUR CAMERA. USE THIS MODIFICATION AT YOUR YOUR OWN RISK, I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR EQUIPMENT DAMAGE. I have since purchased the latest V3 capture clip as it can use any of the available capture plates without modifications which makes things a lot simpler....AARON S : I use this with my a6300. It's just a standard tripod mount.

Does not fit V1 or V2 Peat Design capture clips.

I ordered this plate for my PD capture clip because it has some adjustment leeway for battery compartment door. Plate fit camera fine but the new design sits lower than the old plates. This plate will not slide into my original PD capture plate (V1) when mounted to my camera. According to the received package this plate only fits the latest V3 capture clips. I could make it work with a shim between camera and plate but that's just something that can loosen and cause a problem. PD no longer lists the original plates for the V1 capture clip. Not a recommended item for the Origional V1 or V2 capture clips.

The Peak Design Standard Plate for Capture Camera Clips is an Arca-type compatible quick release plate made for all of the Capture camera clips. It has dovetails on all four sides so that your camera can be mounted in the clip in any direction, which also makes changing the lens an easy task. There are four holes in the corners of the plate for attaching Micro Anchors for Peak Design's Leash and Cuff. A hex wrench is included to tightly secure the plate to your camera.
