Fantastic product. Very sturdy! The crossbar doesn't sag like many other backdrop stands I've owned. It feels well made. I'm happy with this purchase and will likely purchase another to have at the studio!

Very sturdy with canvas backdrops. I've never worried about the stands slowly sagging because the locks don't hold tight enough.

This seems to be a solid, well made set, and the carrying case is very handy. The support bar does bow very slightly when fully extended, but only very slightly. The whole set is very sturdy.

I purchased this for our quilt guild as a quilt stand. It is much sturdier than the items marketed as "quilt stands". It is easy to set up, the cross bar is sturdy enough to hold a king size quilt with little to no bowing. Highly recommend this to any quilter looking for a QUALITY quilt stand.

I generally like these stands - for some reason one of the screw fittings on one of the stands was loose - so when I tried to tighten it up - the fitting came out.

Telescoping cross bar provides greater flexibility than multi-piece bars. Strong support stands easily hold a 10 x 20 background.

feels really secure with the 9-10 ft. heavy seamless backgrounds. i would have given a rating of 5 stars, but one of the stands arrived jammed and we had to bonk it with a hammer to make it work.

You get what you pay for. This version is better than most. If you want to hang just a lightweight muslin this would work fine. But if you have several, the more weight you have on top the less stable it would become. This is simple laws of physics. In my studio I hang my back drops form an over head structural beam, mounting system. Nothing to trip over etc... But this product is fine for portable product shots, making it flexible in my work flow. Takes just minutes to set up and just as easy to put away. The extra height is great. This means when you extend it to 9' or so there is still plenty of tube, so it is not fully extended to its limits, which makes it more stiff. Just what you want

i was actually looking at the manfrotto backdrop stand but decided to go the profoto mainly because it could expand a taller and wider. heavy duty light stands can support a roll of seamless paper. great quality for a portable studio.

This stand is built like a tank. Very sturdy, very easy to setup and Very nice bag. For the price I think you are getting more than what the value is! The fittings are solid metal and very solid. I couldn't ask for anything better! The cross bar is very solid @ 9'. I am not using it @ 12' but am sure it could hold anything.

Portrait shooting even if planned single portraits they gather into a group and want a group photo that requires this size of backdrop. Not realizing this when I started I bought a backdrop sufficient for only one or two people.I was wrong

This setup is easy to set up and take down. The cross bar flexes a little, but only with heavier backdrops and when fully extended.It would be nicer if the stands had springs or were cushioned, as you need 2 people to set this up without a lot of walking back and forth, and with an in-experienced helper, the cushioning would be nice.The case is nice and has a little extra room. This is built like a tank, and the middle bar does not sag! Its very well made and sets up and breaks down in minutes. carry bag is pretty nice too. for the price its well worth it.

I use this product in my studio, as well as on location(indoor). It seems to be pretty strong and probably will last for a while. The telescopic cross bar is supposed to lock , but it does not – not a big deal though!
